Thanks to all for your comments. I have some updated information about the movement of this watch and what Breitling does to the movement. They start with the Top Grade movement to begin with, but the they fine tune the escapement, add a higher quality mainspring, center the hairspring, poise the balance and then they regulate the movement in 5 positions. They then also add their decoration and detail. This is the process that Breitling uses to create the Caliber 17 from an ETA 2824-2.

I think They've been trying to fake the Rolex Oyster design, be it the DeepSea, Sub, or GMT master. Not cool. Id rather stick to a Rolex. As to Breitling, they're still awesome timepieces, especially the Chronomat Evolution

This is such a deadly watch, what would make it the perfect diver watch of all time would be to straighten out the damn numbers on the dial and bezel ! What the he'll were they thinking ??? That would be the only reason I wouldn't buy it.

I've got it since january the 29, but the last week i send it to Breitling cause the chrono is to speed.. 2 minutes for 12 hours.. It's a real problem. I must wait 8 weeks to have it again.. I'm very irritated..

13 and already a Breitling? Wow. You will never use the escape valve as that is for saturation diving aka diving really deep and spending time in a diving bell. It is automatic so there is nothing to do manually. In the owner's manual it explains about the escape valve.

aww coool :D this is my first watch i got it yesterday but its got a yellow ring instead of black and it has a metal bracelet :) im 13 :D and how does the escape valve work?

Thanks for your comments. I have since sold the Breitling but still have both bracelets. This was my first but will definitely not be my last breitling. I especially love the new caliber, the B01 that they have created, which will also be a basis for a non-chrono movement.

Really nice watch, good review. I think the Superocean looks really good but I am into bigger watches but at 42 mm is ok. I've got the Breitling Aeromarine Super Avenger (black dail) on the pro 2 bracelet with the bigger wings :). 48.4 mm and 18.6 mm thickness. But it got a simple movement Breitling 13 movement based on the Valjoux 7750 Movement. But still I love it really nice watch :D. -

@Strikehard92 I've seen this Superocean 2 in Black/Yellow in the flesh and I really like it. It's a very nice watch. The only thing that has stopped me is that I'm used to bigger watches. If it was 44mm and a Certified Chronometre with the B01 movement I'd be sold. I am about to buy an Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean soon.
