People hate Shadow the Hedgehog for not being a good SONIC game,here's my questions:Why would play as SONIC when the game is named SHADOW the hedgehog?and when you can play as Shadow the game sucks,so Why play as Shadow when it will suck?(Examples:Shadow the hedgehog,Sonic 06)
I don't see what why people trash 3d sonic, I grew up with the original sonic games yes, but these 3d ones usually have the same type of gameplay they're not jaw droping like the originals, but I still find the modern sonic games to be good, and worth the money...I don't see what the big complaint is...Sonic 2d was BEAST, Sonic 3d is Good, Not great, but good nonetheless.....

@SuperSkeletonGirl as you upgrade him, he get's easier to control. yep, nothing to do but run and gather rings. and jump and attack and slide and balance when grinding and collect souls to fill up your soul gauge and collect fire souls to get more characters in 2 player and fly on a magic carpet around spike balls and move carefully on a wall to avoid spikes and complete missions that add a bit of challenge and fight bosses and get more abilities. hm...this game is a lot better than next gen

I've seen several videos of this game now and I was a bit worried that because of the way it's played that the game would feel very "one-dimensional", too much like an arcade game. But it still sounds as if it's fun to play, nonetheless. I am considering buying a Wii later in the year.
@birdsofafeather1990 it is a fun game to play, but it's very different from other games in that you need to actually spend hours upgrading and making sonic better. it's not like sonic colours where you could complete the game in 2 hours. the customizations are cool and fun to play with a bit. you should get this game, but don't expect something fun right out of the box. sonic needs to be upgraded in speed, control, balance, and other things. once you do that, you'll find fun

@dartter50 No it is not. Sonic 06 is much better than this pile of trash. Sonic 06 is much better than most of the 3D games as a matter of fact. Speed isn't the focus of Sonic it's platforming. The speed is an extra.

Shame my Secret Rings disk broke. I managed to gold rank this in the early 2 or 3 minutes, around that time when it worked. This game had it's ups and downs. Personally, besides walking backwards and such, I had no issues with the controls.
Sonic gameplay actually works pretty good in 3D. Look at Sonic Adventure 1 & 2. Shadow the Hedgehog was the first not so good Sonic game. Since then Sonic got downhill. Unleashed made the first step to save the franchise. Now Sega knows where 3D gameplay and 2D gameplay work the best in the stages.
I always thought of this game as the Wii's Luigi's Mansion. A short launch title that turned out great, but was treated like a "tech demo" by the developers.

This would be such a good game if the camera wasn't so close to him. Even though it is I guess its a good game.l Its technically Sonic Unleashed without the werehog stages, a closer camera, and no stomp.
an hd xbox 360 port would be great for this game...I think this game is the precursor to Unleashed at times and I think it was held back by the wii motion controls...if they fixed the errors and re-released it as a special edition I would buy it

i get where your coming from but the sonic levels in that game kick ass! the warehog wasnt so fun but was better on wii as you can throw your arms around or just insert a gamecube controller and play with that.
Depends on your tastes. You go REALLY fast once you start leveling up your speed, almost Unleashed fast. The controls are SO SIMPLE, you really have to be some kind of moron to not understand them. Game is super short but has weeks of replay ability. Music is amazing (that's nothing new). Graphics are pretty good given the time it came out, but none of that matters because the most important factor is that it's fun, and that's all that really matters in the end.
thnxs, depending on the price it probably would be worth buying. I have tried three 3d sonic games in the past which were sonic adventure 2 battle, sonic heroes and shadow the hedgehog. Battle was alright overall, sonic heroes had interesting gameplay but shit story, shadow the hedgehog suffered the same but also had some bad controls. I was hoping to find one that will be good and this one seemed to be getting lots of praise as being one of the best 3D sonic games.
I've gotten faster, but I still think your better than me.
You have a LOT of skill with this game as it takes a pro to do this at Sonic's "moderate speed" level without any use of speed break, collect this many rings and not take any damage, and perform almost flawlessly.
I commend you man.
Also, nice jump/glitch when you Homing Attacked through the fire.
the speed is mostly a issue for most peple i can se but my knowledge its awsome seing him run like that but the part i found most anoing is the that chick is talking evrytime i mean its not horrable but for experts could found that anyoing and yes i suck at translation

this game is really simple even any one can finish this level less than 6 minutes and i finish it in 2.35-2.40 minutes and my level is 65-70
i think your level is 90-99+ ( i don,t know if there is higher than 99 but it,s depending on your ring amount ) and you finish it 4.20.36 !

i get where your coming from but the sonic levels in that game kick ass! the warehog wasnt so fun but was better on wii as you can throw your arms around or just insert a gamecube controller and play with that.

Depends on your tastes. You go REALLY fast once you start leveling up your speed, almost Unleashed fast. The controls are SO SIMPLE, you really have to be some kind of moron to not understand them. Game is super short but has weeks of replay ability. Music is amazing (that's nothing new). Graphics are pretty good given the time it came out, but none of that matters because the most important factor is that it's fun, and that's all that really matters in the end.

thnxs, depending on the price it probably would be worth buying. I have tried three 3d sonic games in the past which were sonic adventure 2 battle, sonic heroes and shadow the hedgehog. Battle was alright overall, sonic heroes had interesting gameplay but shit story, shadow the hedgehog suffered the same but also had some bad controls. I was hoping to find one that will be good and this one seemed to be getting lots of praise as being one of the best 3D sonic games.

You're very right.
I've gotten faster, but I still think your better than me.
You have a LOT of skill with this game as it takes a pro to do this at Sonic's "moderate speed" level without any use of speed break, collect this many rings and not take any damage, and perform almost flawlessly.
I commend you man.
Also, nice jump/glitch when you Homing Attacked through the fire.

the speed is mostly a issue for most peple i can se but my knowledge its awsome seing him run like that but the part i found most anoing is the that chick is talking evrytime i mean its not horrable but for experts could found that anyoing and yes i suck at translation
