The original singer is Tesfay Belay. He is an Ethiopian from Adwa. He sang this song long before Tekle Tesfazgi came to the stage. Eritreans have to come to terms with this reality.

Saba Sabina had been sung by so many Eritrean singers including the late Tekle

Tesfazgi but originally it had been sung by the late Ateweberhan Segid using Kirar in the 1950's and followed by Tekle Hiwket and so on.Tekle Tesfazgi is the latest to sing it. The certain Tesfay Belay from Adwa could sing it too but probably not as Tigrean but Eritrean.

Tigray is is the northernmost of the nine ethnic regions of Ethiopia containing the homeland of the Tigray people. Tigrigna, is the language that is spoken by Tigray people. And the Amhara are called Amhara...we can simply refer more Ethiopians and Eritreans as Habesha.
