As I recall, I put a string through the top of the LEGO figure's head and held it above the frame while I took the picture- it was kind of a pain, but it came out looking OK, so...
easy, just take a picture, move the people, take a picture, move the people...and then three hours later you put them all together into a movie file. You should try it sometime.
