I have no problem with that, I just find it fascinating, and I hope people don't use it as an excuse to not celebrate the holidays.

Awesome shopping - that bag of decorations was a great find and a great price Jesse. My first Christmas after leaving home we all made paper snowflakes and hung them everywhere and made a tree from 2 cut out cardboard shapes slotted together and sat and made decorations - it was cheap but one of our best Christmas memories.

YOU HAVE TO TELL YOUR LANDLORD. You have rights as a tenant and you should do research I live in Alberta and am studying Law so I'm familiar only with Alberta's laws at the moment. I looked up the British Columbia Residential Tenancy Act and it states that your landlord is responsible to do something about "emergency repairs" which includes "the primary heating system" Look at your rights! You shouldn't be living in the cold. Look at section 1 and 33 and make sure those conditions are met.

Oh, buy some space heaters, or have your moms and dads send some used ones to you, or have you landlord fix the heat. I don't know if you have electric baseboard heat or a central heating unit. I saw the registers (outlets for the heat) but they had plastic on them. I guess he turned off the central heat when he made the house into apartments.
