Hey! Thank you! I guess all I needed was a little visual stimulation going. All I have to record is an IPod touch 4gen and it's so difficult to hold it still much less in the position required to record on the dsi so after seeing your little set up I immediatly without finishing the video began to work on one of my own what I have done is make a block of clay with a crease in it to hold the IPod touch and a book to rest it on and it worked perfactly! I have the result on my channel.

@amataban Sorry for the late reply. I haven't used camtasia but it will definitely have more advanced features. That may or may not matter to you depending how you want your videos to look. For simplicity use windows movie maker.

Just to respond to some earlier questions about Windows Movie Live, you can download the 2.6 version of Windows Movie Maker. It'll probably work much better if your having problems.

@watchvidsandcomment1 Sorry for taking long to reply back. I dont' think it will work as well with a camera. Cameras are too sensitive and not meant to be used that close up. I tried it with a camera once and it didn't work out for me.
