I agree with you to a certain point. Everything in gaming becomes easier once you know what you're doing, but Leon on the Castle is the scenario on Mercs I find to be harder than the rest, mainly because you only have a Blacktail and a Riot Gun to defend against the Garradors, which should be taken out with something like a rifle or a magnum. The only thing that Leon can do to stun a Garrador is shoot the Plaga or use a grenade that he finds, which isn't the case for anyone else.

J.J is worse then Garrador. J.J's are harder to avoid. in RE5, they are too slow and easy to kill

I respectfully disagree with you, at least when it comes to RE4. J.J. is more easily stunned (Flash Grenades are a notable example) and you don't have to walk so he can't find you, which is especially bad in Mercs. In RE5, J.J. is absolute cake if you have two players and a Rifle, or ideally a Magnum and spam headshots with melee. He usually won't be able to get a shot off, let alone damage you if you do it right.

The Blind Prisoner isn't the same as one in the original game? Normally he attack when the player runs, shoot or cause any noise arround. I can see he attack even if you walk or keep down the shoots.

Nope, he's the same as he is in the main game. It might look like he acts differently because in Mercs, there's always other Zealots around so you can't walk around and take your time killing him, which is why he's alerted more often.

I really hate The Mercenaries. I just want the Hand "Smith & Wesson Model 500" Cannon. What I find quite funny is that they released this and only this as a full retail game! The Mercenaries is terrible even on the go!

Not everybody thinks Mercs is horrible, and it seems Capcom saw this, which is why they made a whole game out of it. Personally, I don't find it fun enough to be able to justify spending $100 on a retail version of it, and in my case, the extra $350 for the 3DS, but of course, other people don't think the same as us and they're entitled to spend money on it as much as we are to not. I wouldn't buy RE: TM3D for said reasons either, but that's just us.

Dude your really good. I decided to go back to Re4 to play mercenaries and because of your videos im getting closer to my goal of the handcannon. Dude i got two more stages with ada and then all stages with leon to go. Your really good to get in the 80k range with leon. You think i can pull it off?

Absolutely. With a solid strategy and practice with better characters to learn the level layouts and time bonuses and shit like that, then it becomes a lot easier. I can say that for pretty much every other game ever made, ever.

My Status on The merceries is 12/20..

Islands and village are the easy ones, I got 5* with all characters.. Waterworld is like normal difficulty; I got with Leon and Wesker. And Castle for me is the hardest one. I'm trying to pass with Leon first because he is the worst one. But I think that with Krauser or Wesker will be really easy.

I came here pissed off because I got 59k 2 times and when I finally had 68k I died lasting 4 seconds ¬¬

I can only get around 15K in points as leon, those annoying guys with the eyes sewn shut are keeping me from making any real points, I really would be better off if I had the striker instead or a semi-auto rifle. Least with Krauser he can instantly destroy those pricks with his arm. I managed to get 5 stars in all only as krauser so far, my weakest element is Leon and Ada. Watching these vids help me at least figure out how to pwn them. I copied how someone did the village as hunk I got 80K

My first time, I thought the exact same thing on my first seven tries. On my 8th try, I did it. Keep going, dang it. Just be sure you take a break before you throw your controller or small animals across the room when you get pissed off. ;^)

wai how come even though ive 5 starred all levels with all characters, and it said that ive unlocked the handcannon, i cant find it in the merchants stock? is it because i need to start a new game? or is it only in certain areas like at merchant stands?

You have to load a cleared (Round 2, at least) file for the Merchant to sell unlockable weapons. He won't sell it to you if you go to New Game and go from there.

The Castle with Leon is probably the hardest scenario in Mercs, IMHO.

- Use your handgun only when you know there are a small amount of enemies around and you can easily kill them and get some breathing room.

- Grenades are your friend. If you can get even one, use it.

- In Pueblo, circle around the map and get every time bonus, then camp.

- In the Castle, get to the top area with the Duo Garradors ASAP. If you're fast enough, you'll have plenty of time to kill an unlimited number of enemies.

In Pueblo I usually get overwhelmed when I don't kill the Bella sisters fast enough, and I have 4 after me at the same time. And Leon's shotgun doesn't seem to be powerful enough. I'll shoot a ganado at point blank range with the riot gun, in the head, and he/she won't die.

Probably. If you know the rough layout of the level (or don't and use the map a lot because it shows where the time bonuses are :^D) then you shouldn't have too many problems on most of the levels.

Leon's Riot Gun is already slightly upgraded, and the Garrador takes 16x damage from its weak point on the back, so... :^/

The Handcannon only has unlimited ammo if it is fully upgraded, and whether it is or not, you'll still find ammo for it.

There simply isn't enough room or firepower to kill off all the enemies fast enough to get it.

Having trouble as Leon on the Castle is understandable, it took me about 15 tries my first time to do this level.

If you run to the upper area with the two Garradors fast enough, the first unarmoured Garrador won't spawn, at the cost of the other Garradors opening the stone doors at the top area.

If you can kill the first unarmoured Garrador, and can amass over 60k points before going to the topmost area, you can get it.

I don't think the last two Garradors spawn if you don't enter the double doors, so maybe try that and see how it goes.

You'll get it sooner or later, it's not impossible.
