@10001nights Any exercise that requires lifting weights over your head to focus on shoulders as the primary muscle. Ex, take two dumbbells, while sitting with good posture and lift them. That focuses on the shoulders. You may also lift a barbell. Place it behind your head, lift over your head and rest it on your upper chest, now move it back to your back and repeat. Take the barbell, grip with both hands in the center, and pull it up to your chest. Those are a few.
When you pulse up to touch your toes. Hands start straight up then when you reach for toes, when your fingers reach to your knees touch them and slide to your toes then in same motion but back into the pulse up.. Remember always keep feet together and straight. also its vary important to not go faster then the video or slower. try to stay at same pace. Form is important.
Abdominal muscles are unique, in that they don't require a day of recovery/rest. You can work your abs everyday, unlike biceps or hams... just a little fyi :)
@colum4469 Follow the program and do your best at it thats all you gotta do. If you want yes you can still do cardio couple hours after p90x make sure your getting your vitamins and nutrition in though so you dont burn out. And dont go crazy with the cardio.
So far im killing this p90x workout i am a basketball player just bout ta turn 22 so i expect nothing short of that. But im having trouble doing 25 reps on all the ab work here, so i set the goal to 15 for the first 2 weeks, then after that 20 until i get where i want 25.

on your 'rollup-vups', you are supposed to go forward like you do- but then lay straight down- flat on the ground for a split second- and then make a V. bring your upper half up, WHILE bringing your legs up- straight out. then touch down
Cut down your protein intake, you're just wasting the protein and your MONEY. Especially with your body type, (skinny) you don't have enough muscle to be able to handle all of that. I can see a competitive body builder needing 80 grams after a workout but even that seems a bit much.
if you work out your abs everyday your not going to get results your just going to hurt yourself. Trust me i did it for 2 weeks straight and nothing showed. All i did was injured myself but you do get a lot of core endurance. ALways always let your muscles rest. I work out everyday since im in the military. After doing P90X for 6 weeks now, PT for the military feels like nothing. Stick with P90X its the best you can do for yourself.

Doing ab ripper x is very unwise. If you've ever done it correctly without any breaks its a killer ab workout that I dont recommend doing everyday. Your abs wont have time to recovery. My AB Core Plus video in my channel is from P90X and you could possibly do that more than AB RIpper X. Its less AB and more core.
@ASaltyChip u know why right its called the plateu effect if u do it all the time ur muscles will get used to it and u will lose results triking ur muscles with new styles is the best but it looks like ur just begning so its all good :)

@halfcountryhalfcity keep doing it do the most you can ... sinc eyou get stronger every time you do it am sure after a lil while youll be able to complete the 25 reps ... if you can only do 10 then do 10 if you can only do 15 then do fifteen ... what matters is that you do something ... trust me when i started my legs would be shaking like crazy and i had to stop like 6 times to rest for like a minute now after a month i can do it easily do the whole thing without stopping..
I increased my protein intake from 1 iso mass gainer drink a day when i first started. To two. 16oz of milk, 3 scoops,1 banana,1 scoop of peanut butter. 1100 calories. 80 grams of protein. For just that drink. After workout i take another 3 scoops with 16 oz of water. Which is 650 calories and 65 grams of protein. About 150 grams of protein a day. Plus the built in creatine in iso mass. I'd defiantly recommend iso mass xtreme gainer. I'm on my 4th tub of it. Each tub is 10 pounds.
