I agree, Organic is a rip off, there's no proof it's any better for you than standard food. Why should tinned food be frowned upon? It's cheap, nutritious and lasts forever.
So what about those of us who have a family and can't afford organic everything, most of which is too "weird" for a lot of kids to eat? I can't spend $2.50 on a small bottle of coconut flavored water that will be gone in 5 minutes, or $5 on a chocolate bar. Unless you're going for the "Spend everything so you have no money left to buy junk food" idea, this isn't really plausible.
Moderation is better than depriving yourself of things you like, and I'm sure one donut a week won't kill her.
