@Thesuperbanana991 The game itself is not obtained through Steam, you need to run the installer and enter the key when it is requested. Once it installs, you can "add a non-steam game" and run it through Steam, although Steam is not required to run the game after it is registered.

Arma is first person, Arma not having nuclear boms make it realistic (The last nuclear bomb used in combat was decades ago), less graphics doesn't make the game bad (look at source engine games) and not everyone plays COD because they know they will run accross people like you, so they play Battlefield or Arma.

Oh, and Call of Duty and Battlefield are in the same league. Arma 2 is a simulator. Operation Flashpoint used to be, but now it is a tactical shooter. Battlefield is just a run and gun game like Call of Duty.

Also, Arma2 has better graphics than Call of Duty.

ArmA: Game where Strategy and Teamwork play a HUGE role, more realistic, have to get ammo, 1 shot= near death

ARMA 2 is based off of a simulator so it doesn't play like your regular FPS (Call of Duty, Battlefield, etc.). It has a huge learning curve and single player is crap. The real worth of the game comes from the mods and the community which unfortunately you really can't experience on ARMA 2 free.

I didn't say it was a simulator. I said based off one. You actually have a body in ARMA. Not just a floating gun with infinite stamina, super strength, and the ability to carry a billion different guns on one person.  Is it perfect? No. Is it different from the cookie cutter shooters of today's market? Yes. If it was a bad game, it wouldn't be going on to it's 3rd sequel (technically 4th or 5th if you count Operation Flashpoint (not Red River or Dragon Rising)).
