lol, ummmm back again today, for another bleus fix/thanx robin, james, reg for your years of dedication, and undieing professionalism, your pursuit of perfection is adored by me, and many other fans, I salute you! ^5/wynn
@MrMesaDude I agree with you about Hendrix not being Trower's "mentor". He borrowed some technique-- double stops (chord fragments) and agrees to using similar tone but has stated that he was not the "white Hendrix" as so many stupid pundits asserted. So many great guitarists "borrow" from Jimi-- there is so much to learn from him-- but as you say "Trower is very much his own musician" One of the best, may I add. Look for "Daydream" (not Spellbound) on his Key Biscuit CD for my fav. version.
Trower's mentor? No, not really. Those are just assumtions. Trower was his own musician. He's in Toledo this month, and you can talk to him about it, as he has been asked it before with regards to the similar "style" to that of Jimmy. By the way, it is Dewar, may he rest im peace.
can you hear hendrix in trowers playing, he was trowers mentor ya know. one of the top 5 greatest songs ever without doubt. i do wish the video showed some budd instead of all leaf though.
sheiot, this tune still gives me goosebumps everytime I listen to it. Lisa, I so love your dad, he was and still is the greatest vocalist in my rock hall of fame/James Dewar, live on o'brother ^5
