  • Groucho on Jackie Gleason's show? HOW SWEET IT WAS!!!!! ;-D

  • "Next week", the hour-long "Honeymooners" episode (3:14) was "Nephew of the Bride" [an expanded/updated musical version of a 1954 "lost episode", "Good Buy, Aunt Ethel"] . And the "MY THREE SONS" episode that followed, at 8:30pm(et), was "The Homecoming".

    "This is CBS".

  • It didn't help that Philip Morris was one of Gleason's primary sponsors during this period (Jackie often "lit up" for their benefit at the end of the show, and he WAS a heavy smoker).

  • Two legends. Great comedy. You just don't see this anymore. Thanks for posting.

  • Gleason knew when to end this show!

few lived as big as Jackie.

6 pack a day smoker and no one could drink more.

believed in ufos and life after death...........

  • the commercial at the very end for My Three Sons brought back memories.
