  • thank you. I'm still scared. what did the medication do to you? Do you feel better? What is better?

  • Rachel, I just had my first betaferon injection all by myself (with your help.) The instruction booklet was so difficult to read and understand so I decided to look up information on the internet. I found your video, and was able to do it. Thank you very much. Indeed, it was easy. You made it easy!!! I was diagnosed last year. I'm Mexican. I want to let you know that I'll try to prepare a Spanish version; I just need more experience. Hope you are ok. Thank you for inspiring me!!!

  • Rachel, Thanks for making this video. I start my injections tomorrow and this was very informative and helpful to me. Hope you are doing better. Love the tatts. Take care, Eric

  • Im only 20 years old an i used to take Copaxone, but just this past week I had a Flare up! Hospitalized for 1 week. im swiching to this injection soon. if this doesnt work. i have to switch to Tysabri(i think thats how you spell it) which is the most dangerous one! I hope this one works!

  • I get my first Betaseron shot on Friday. I am 21 and got dx'd a little over a month ago. I am just terrified of the shot!

  • Rachel. I was dx'd w/MS 3years ago and I still have a hard time with the shot of bataseron but it's all in my head / I don't even feel the needle.. I feel it more when I get my b-12 shot. Keep up with up dates when u can, thank God it was diagnosed early. Best wishes. :)

  • wow I really appreciate your vulnerability to put yourself out there for others.I just got diagnosed with ms and am considering treatment. I too am a sissy and cry baby when it come to needles and often lose my coloring. Thank you for showing me that it's not that bad and its worth it for your health.

  • Very well done tutorial! I have used Rebif (ouch!) and Copaxone (hives), and am now considering Betaseron. Thank you for stating that the injection does not sting/hurt. You're very encouraging. I love your tats, too!

  • when i took this i did it on my legs.

  • Thank u rachel. This is my 1st time taking Betaseron. I have been on 2 OTHER INJECTIONS IN THE PAST YEAR AND A 1/2 Rebif, and Copaxone, and now i'm on Betaseron SO HOPEFULLY THIS IS THE LAST TIME.

  • Funny shit is am taking betaseron too and doctors are not sure if I have ms. My problems happen only from the waist down. My problems are numbness in my legs, sometimes loss of balance, weakness in my legs at times, problems peeing. Doctors told me it could be in the starting stages but there not sure. Betaseron is helping me pee better even though.

  • @felixbrignoni : have you done MRI/

  • Hi got told i could use 1 of 4 drugs i can use for my ms, one of which is the one you are on, does all the areas fell the same when injecting, oh i am a 43 year old english wimp.LOL thanks Steve T

  • @blueboy1ful I have only been on 2 injections. One was called Rebif and my current is Betaseron witch is the one i like more. the Rebif tends to burn while injecting. The betaseron i dont feel a thing and i have injected my stomach, hip, and the back of my arms. I wish you the best of luck.

  • Really great video. i have had MS for a year now. and i would never want to use the auto injector. i have to agree its so much easier to inject your self.

  • the auto-injector is fucking scary and evil! do them by hand, faaar less painful!

  • Thank you for the tutorial :D

  • Thanks for this video. Patients on Betaseron should use the Betaject Comfort...Easier to use than Betaject Lite showed on this video, you dont see the needle and less side effects... Ask your nurse/dr.

  • I was diagnosed today..... thank you for making this vid

  • Hi Rachel, Thx for the video. I started Betaseron 6 wks ago. I am starting to experience bad red bruising injection site reactions. Just curios have you experienced this yet? Thx Michele

  • @shelby2hot0418 hi, i've been taking betaseron for 4yrs, for the bruising you can use a piece of ice and take a pain med after your injection

  • @moe2handl I'll try that. Thanks!!!

  • Thanks for your efford... I have MS and i know how i was feeling just before starting the injections. However i am on Copaxone, but works almost the same, Hope there will be a cure sooner or later.

Take care of yourself,, Don't forget the Flu shot... I just had that today.. Ali

  • lol, Im only 26 and was dx with MS oct 6 2008, been drug free but i am now going to be on beta as well, I hate needles and i also have tat's on all sides of my body, whats better auto injector or self?

  • Hi Rachel,

I too have MS was dx in Dec. 08 and have been a: Beta Babe since Feb. 09. I never thought about checking Youtube for videos about Betaseron until today.. You made it seem so easy.. and your right.. the lady from the Beta video doesn't give a real depiction of the process to me.. there are nights when I have anxiety about the injection.. and, some nights I'm a warrior and can just do it. Anywhoo.. thanks for putting out a quality video..

    Blessings 2 U,

  • Hey Rachel,

It is really great that you shared this with the world. I"m sure it will be helpful to people. I know that medical professionals and many others are insensitive to the fact that individuals with body art may not be so delighted to encounter needles in a medical setting.

  • look into medicinal canabis oils

  • Great video Rachel. I'm sure it will help others, I know if this were something I had to deal with, it would definitely help me.

  • This is one of the best things you've ever posted online over your well over a decade of Internet life. Thanks for sharing it and sorry you're going through this.

  • I must confess, I don't have MS, but saw your pretty face and was just curious, BUT I think it's great that you are sharing this info. with people who need this. I'm sure you've made a difference in someones life, Rachel. :o)

  • thank you for putting this out here.
