I told him he could have anything on the menu, but that "your money isn't any good here" -- whatever you order will be FREE! Yeah. I consider what American did VERY Humane, compared to what they would've done a mere 4 months later, had the war drug on.
Millions of Americans, Canadians, English, and Australians would've lost their lives invading Japan's homeland. They were prepared to take us on. Half of our fleet would've been decimated by the time we got to shore. (220 Kamikaze planes were ready.)

They had invaded China in 1933 and were preparing to conquer Indochina, Maylasia, India and the Pacific islands. they wanted to control all these territories so that they could use the raw materials in them for their own industries

They werent trying to become the dominant power, they WERE the dominant power in the pacific with their navy over 3 times as large as the u.s navy, far more carriers than the u.s. what they wanted to do was to make sure to kill most of their fleet so to save themselves from having to attack them later and have way more casualties.

Listen, America did not do anything that had to deal with military actions. America sent supplies to the British military and cut off all relations to the Empire of Japan. THAT right there was one of the reasons pearl harbor happened. Their only choice was war if they wanted oil, and supplies. Also, Japan did not want interence with their Pacific conquest from America. Pearl Harbor happened for a bad reason, but Japan just didnt attack for no reason at all.
