No, even though EU cars do not have lots of CC's when they try to match American muscle cars the EU cars start high on TQ/HP and keep that curve high all the way to redline. Most American muscle cars start low at 1K - 3K and spike in the middle then drops at the top-end. American cars just lack in ECU cleverness, not enough sensors, and not enough R&D to tune them right...to fix this they just put a big CC engine (and won't win as often because they have to refuel more often on the track).

There are better cars outside of the trailer park kid. When you look at international racing and which cars are on top, you will see Ferrari, BMW ///M, Mercedes among others. Mustangs are cheap cars made for trailer park races. try again.
American cars (especially Mustangs) suck miserably. German cars (especially BMW's 4.8 Liter V8) are superior to pretty much anything else. It's no wonder that the German's perfection enables the 550 to go faster. Munich is ruling the world as Detroit is going down.

I drive a mustang Gt and like mustnags better, but bro a GT500 cannot hang with the C6 vette. Sorry. I've driven both and the C6 would hand it it's ass big time. The 2008 come with 438 HP, better traction and suspension than the shelby(the shelbys worst point which seriously inhibits performance both straightline and in the twisties), 600 lbs lighter. Straight line or around a track the C6 would win either way. Not a contest really.
Well, I know it IS true. Honestly, I like the GT500 better and would rather have one, but stock for stock, the 2008 C6 is faster straightline and around a track. Maybe your dad raced a 2004-2007 automatic. Those are slower than the GT500, but if you race a 6spd manual 2008, you are going to lose to it. plain and simple.
American cars are only good in a straight line. The best cars are Italian and the second best are German. Germans definetly build the best engines and Italians make the most beautiful cars.

So imagine a mustang with a KB supercharger at 10 psi and a full suspension package (you can afford all that for extra 11k you got left) pushing 550+bhp next to your sorry BMW on a track-- whether 135 or 550 or EVEN an "almighty" M6. Give it bigger brake kit and a set of tires for another 4-5k and M6 will be sucking in Stang's exhaust

This vid proves a lot. The 5 series made the Stang look like a grocery getter. Now if it was a M3....It'll rape the Stang like it's EVERYBODY's business. All Mercedes is good for is power. A fine tuned supsension and decent poweer would make Mercedes "power" look useless.

right on.. too true. it annoys me everyone seems to compare cars that are just not in the same class at all. the mustang is (my personal favorite) a horsepower/bang for buck car. its really alright in its class. and it has tuning potential. the BMW is an excellent extraordinarily engineered machine, and naturally it costs ALOT more.. its expected that the performance versions of this breed of car will be better then a STOCK mustang anyway... wouldnt we all agree?

yea just bearly, there both around 500 hp, and with some of the extra cash from buying the cheaper GT 500, u can buy a $7,000 KB 2.8 supercharger, and get 1000 hp at the engine, and maybe even some extra suspension upgrades too

u r stupid, srt8, ahaha, srt8 isnt even in the same class as the GT 500, a stock GT 500 can take a c6 corvette, No srt8 charger, or 300c can compete with a GT 500, the GT 500 weighs less, has more power, better handling, and is about the best bang for the buck out there, srt8 is only availible in automatic too

I drive a mustang Gt and like mustnags better, but bro a GT500 cannot hang with the C6 vette. Sorry. I've driven both and the C6 would hand it it's ass big time. The 2008 come with 438 HP, better traction and suspension than the shelby(the shelbys worst point which seriously inhibits performance both straightline and in the twisties), 600 lbs lighter. Straight line or around a track the C6 would win either way. Not a contest really.

Well, I know it IS true. Honestly, I like the GT500 better and would rather have one, but stock for stock, the 2008 C6 is faster straightline and around a track. Maybe your dad raced a 2004-2007 automatic. Those are slower than the GT500, but if you race a 6spd manual 2008, you are going to lose to it. plain and simple.

GT500 is not a fair game with 550i. For GT500 you can try and match with M6 even at the drag race... 507HP naturally aspired...if BMW was to put even just some kind of induction like small turbos as in 335 you probably talking 600RWHP...but then that would not be fair to Ferrari and Lamborghini lol
As I always said American muscle is great but they are too cheap to fine tune them...plus their electronics suck (ECU and sensors).

"Dude", in America a 550i runs for 50k, while you get get a Mustang below MSRP for 23.6 (don't believe me, ask on mustang forums). Even your 135i is 35k+ out here. So imagine a mustang with a KB supercharger at 10 psi and a full suspension package (you can afford all that for extra 11k you got left) pushing 550+bhp next to your sorry BMW on a track-- whether 135 or 550 or EVEN an "almighty" M6. Give it bigger brake kit and a set of tires for another 4-5k and M6 will be sucking in Stang's exhaust

But does that mean it's a better car ?IF you have the money to afford a BMW, you can probablly afford to tune them. The results ? look at the HPF M3's. 135 comes with stock twin turbo that run at 7.5 psi, you can turn those way up making it even faster..
