@LichGeneral I've shot them out to 150 yards, and I realize it could have gone farther. I shot an old piece of junk left at the range with Winchester Super X 2 3/4 inch 00buck and rifled slug combos. After doing so, I realize I could have pushed it to 175 yards and maybe with a slug out to 200 yards, but that would have been quite a stretch.

If you are referring to that "click" at the end when I'm showing the gun closeup; it was NOT a dry fire. He was actually sliding the "safety" lever in the upward position. Watch the video carefully. It will go from the down position to the up(locked) position as I pan the camera back over the receiver.

an AK-47 is a model of weapon. it is a Kalishnikov Design modified to shoot 2 3/4" and 3" 12 gauge shells. it ha salot of interesting features that make it different from a 7.62x39 ak-47. all of which you can find out when you go buy your own =)

see heres my thing i know this is a great gun probably awsome for room clearing, but theres comes a piont where your almost wasting ammo by being able to shoot really fast like 5 rounds a second. in an accuall shoot out you would run out of ammo in ten minutes, there is no possible way to carry that much ammo on yourself, it might help if the converted it to a 410 round, that way you can pack more into a clip, i dont no a shot gun nowadays has completely changed, never no what to expect

That's why marksmanship and discipline are important. If you can go through rounds faster, and each one connects to your target, that's far more efficient than getting the same number of hits slower. And even if you are taking time and aiming each shot, it's still going to be faster, since there's no pumping, and if you have extra loaded magazines, reloading is going to go much, much quicker.

The nice thing about magazines is you can still have a 10 rounder but keep the barrel at 18".

Yeah this thing is a beast it embarrases the AA-12 if you can do 5 rounds per seconds that 300 rounds per minute in semi and thats what the AA-12 gets on full auto. When i clocked the rate of fire on full auto for the Saiga 12 it was 800 RPM. Which is fast for anything but godlike for a shogun.

because the Saiga takes clips... think about it... the mossberg 590, the remington 870 and the Benelli tactical shotguns are all TUBE fed shotguns. the magazine is fixed to the gun. the time it takes to reload a tube cant compare to loading a clip and then putting the clip into the saiga 12. Plus the Saiga 12 clips are huge because 12 gauge ammo is huge. What I am saying is the tube fed guns make more tactical sense in a military scenario because you can fit more rounds in a closer space.

true but, you can get semi automatic tube fed guns that are just as quick. I.E. the benelli m4. my point is, you can reload a tube faster than you can reload a clip. on the sagia you would have to drop the clip, reload, put clip back in gun. plus the clips are huge, where on the tube guns you can just wear a 50 round ammo bandolier and be selective on what roudn you need when. you can chamber a 00 buck round in front of a slug if need be with tube. why do you think the Marines use the tube-fed?

mossberg 590 > S12, im not fond of it. I have a 590 and it makes sense. clip load 12ga. is not such a good idea. sure its somewhat exotic but for self defense Id much rather have a mossberg 590, rem. 870 or benelli

It's semi-automatic. Also, there are Saiga-12 variants with pistol grip and foldable stock. Also, there is a Verp-12 semi-automatic shotgun based on RPK rather than AK that has different kind of stock and lots of Weaver Rails, I plan to buy one when my license is ready.
