When the doctor comes out, I can't help but think this was the dark age of medicine--Doctors killed many, many women because they knew nothing of hygiene. It was safer to give birth by yourself.

I think in these episodes Demelza had to compete with Elizabeth and was never too sure of Ross. You can see as time goes on she gets more confident and less unsure of where she stands.

Thanks for the videos. Never could understand why Ross wanted Elizabeth. Much better for Ross to be somebody like Demelza, somebody with some life to her.

Elizabeth was such a self-centered stick through this whole thing.Never grasped the whole duty,honour and obligation thing at all.
