that engine stock can hold up on a 5.0 so if you think this is slow you are dumb, im getting a swap for my 91 lx soon, t4 turbo front mount inter-cooler with the 120 deg. intake manifold, shits going to be out. do you have 2.5in exhaust on this?
@anothersnaf88 its got a 3 inch which splits to 2 2.5 with 2540i aeroturbine muffs on the back. I should add I have a 90GT which this car beats. I blew the head gasket back in feb, and I've since fixed it, but lack of funds caused me to non op the car right now. hopefully I have it back on the street soon :)
yeah its mostly stock still, and if I ditched the slushbox its good for an extra 35-40 whp, then I woulnd need to get a decent tune. before you call that motor "slow" you should seach for John Huber's mustang with this same motor, though Huber has more money then I did, so his motor is a bit more modified with a way better turbo and custom intakes and exhaust manis. his car broke into the 8's last year at over 160 mph if you play with them these little motors will put out big whp...
dude. fix that leak and get back there. i had a MASSIVE leak when i finaly tested mine. i did a 13.6 at 106 with that boost leak (tryed to set psi to 20 but had a huge fluctuation between 15-20(reaction time was 1.1). last night i went to the track and had a reaction of .8 and i did a 13.2 and 106. the run after that i hit in the 12's and this was on a steady 15 psi.
