I live in Colorado Springs-this made me laugh! I love it! It seems like there could have been so much more added to the video, but Pikes Peak and the Broadmoor used to be the main "pull" for tourists of the day. The Chamber should do a new video that incorporates the Broadmoor and Pikes Peak (showing "then" and "now" using parts of this video, PLUS The Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds, downtown nightlife, Manitou Springs, Old Colorado City, Helen Hunt Falls, etc. So much to do here!!

I left the Springs in 1989, and I then realised that was a big mistake...I spent the next 19 years trying to get back here. I took that opportunity when I had the chance. I dont want to ever leave here again. I love this place!

Anybody know where the "Western Hills Motor Hotel" was located? It would be fun to drive by today and make a response video... ;-)

@WeLearnMore It was most likely on South Nevada Ave. which is where most of those old motels were located. Today that area is full of drug dealers and prostitutes.

I was born in 1985 but I would've loved living in the Springs in the 50's.. Riding an old Harley with a leather jacket.. Hair looking like the Fonz hahaha LOL!!!
