Cool video. It was so stoked when this came out. I went right over to Best Buy and picked one up for $300.00
In the end I didn't use it as much as I thought I would but I knew that MP3 technology was revolutionary and I very much wanted to be a part of the revolution.
I have one like new in the box still, hardly ever used, bought it of qvc when they first came out. I remember taking on holiday to crete and people were so amazed by it as know one had ever heard off mp3s.
I just busted mine out tonight. The battery door on mine got corroded too by a faulty battery that spilled its fluids out, then the door outright broke from me trying to get the gunk off. Still works though. I'm thinking I'll use it in my car so I don't have to worry about it getting stolen. Also wondered about doing a DIY project with it somehow.

I used to have one of these. Paid $100 for it.
It transferred songs using the parallel port (printers used to use this port).
The parallel port transfers at 16 Mbits per second.
USB 2.0 transfers at 480 Mbits per second.
So this thing transferred music 30 times slower than USB 2.0.
