For those concerned with battery usage: Although I wasn't having a great deal of trouble with the OEM battery, I decided to buy an extended battery. I found many on eBay WAY cheaper than on Verizon and bought a 1500 extended. It added a little more bulk to the phone, but it is almost impossible to kill it in one day, even when using the light like a flashlight, playing a couple hours of Need for Speed and making long calls. I recommend getting one!

i've had the dare since march and i already want this phone. if this one was out when i was getting a new phone, i would have gladly gotten this one. i hate the texting on the dare. i always use it upright. I had the first envy and now i'm missing it even more and more.

nah... like with heavy use.. 6 hours... get the extended battery. costs ALOT but its worth it.

The Dare does have the Charging Screen. I've had the Dare about a year now and the only thing I don't like about it is the typing. I type with it upright opposed to horizontal. I wished I'd gotten the Voyager but now I see this is out. I would have honestly gone with the new iPhone 3GS if not for the lack of picture messaging again at it's launch.

I have a question perhaps. On the Dare, the camera. It would never save your settings? Has that been fixed on the EnV Touch?

its a proximity sensor. It turns off the touch screen when your talking on the phone so you don't press any buttons with your cheek
