Joe Rogan knows a lot about martial arts. He's a bjj black belt and has won hundreds(not really sure of the number, just saying its not small) of Taekwondo tournaments. He's not just a weekend warrior he's been doing martial arts his entire life and commenting on mma for a long time. Not saying he's more knowledgeable than bas, but he definitely knows a thing or two.
I think bas+joe would be a crazy awesome commentator combo.

You must be one of these new age mma fans that just started watching in the past 2-3 years and only watches the ufc. I doubt you watch dream or strikeforce(now ufc owned) or watched pride when it was around or KOTC or IFL or even K-1 for striking. @kamhal89 well i never liked seagal to begin with and i heard an incident with him and jean-claude (also recently returning to k-1) where seagal was talking shit and jean-claude called him out but he stayed in the house. i dont know, seagal also trained lyoto and if seagal was really that bad why did anderson take his advice? i think seagal should fight bas in a ring to settle it. there's no other way.

He knows hes already met his number... by that i mean every fighter has a number that cant be predetermined that number is the amount of times someone can get hit and recover. Once a fighter has met their number they get easier to get KOed and dropped he realized that and embraced it and started to....

@Xytos to train other younger individuals who had a long way for their numbers to be met who are fresh into their careers. Same thing fedor went through after his fight with Silva recently and he saved afterwards for the first time in his career he couldn't recover and adjust properly and said "maybe its my time to leave" he knows his number is getting low. When you look at the legends of mma you see people like fedor, gracie, sakuraba, crocop, lidell, etc. You have no right to question Bas.

Brock needs to learn head movement and shoulder roll as well as counter strikes. He is bigger, stronger, faster and more athletically gifted than any other heavy weight on the planet. I agree that some tough sparring with head gear will teach him a ton! Also with his reach he really needs to learn to snap the jab guys like JDS and Cain wouldn't even be able to get close to him. A guy like Brock can hurt people bad, look what he did to Herring and Couture.
