Lol, who the hell doesn't want a 5 string, 6 string even 7 string bass... the more the fucking better. As long as you rock out with it then your fine. An extra string has a lot more to play then a 4. Gupetti your just a fucking idiot. Reggie Washington and Dave Pomeroy use like fucking 9 strings cause they kick ass. A lot more bass players do too. i think your hammer ons might improve to a degree if you strapped the bass a bit higher, so your not reaching around the neck as much, so you an move your fingers not only faster but smoother and easier.

you should let ur right hand fingers rest on the string for u to be able to play faster and get a better sound. remember your finger are not picks

It would have been nice (Yamaha announced it in Red but never produced any) but the 775 *trounces* the 375 in terms of playability, tone, quality control... I bought a grey one at clearance price when they were being discontinued, and a week later purchased another in blue to defret, it was such a killer bass at that price. They were my go-to basses for about 4 years and I had nothing but great times with them.
