let me guess you think oasis started rock music? i'm not saying oasis are shit but, compared with pink floyd and led zeppelin there are no where near as good, pink floyd has far better musicians, led zeppelin has too, with a much better singer. better lyrics, more original, ect ect.. and PF and led zeppelin made it big in america. sorry but floyd and zeppelin are just better bands.

@JoshMufc101 Pink Floyd & Led Zeppelin are different. I wouldn't say they're better at all. They're from a different era of music where their talent was more appreciated internationally. Oasis came up against a modern period of music where pop groups were essentially taking over the mainstream music world. It's not because Oasis was a lesser bad than PF or LZ. They just had more up against them which is why they're probably not as well-appreciated outside the UK.

@JoshMufc101 And I'm sure it's a huge matter of opinion as to whether which band had better lyrics, singer, were more original. LZ and PF aren't even the style of rock that Oasis look to as inspiration - they're Beatles & Smiths fans. So I don't think it's fair for you to compare who's "BETTER" between bands that essentially have little to do with each other stylistically. Besides, London music is completely different from Manchester. Different lifestyle, different tastes. Apples & Oranges

i wouldn't say there totally different, it would be like saying you can't compare rap and hip hop, yeah they are different but they are still very similar. in my opinion anyway, PF and led zeppelin are more original than oasis, better musicians and better songwriters, this is just my opinion, and i'm not saying oasis are crap, they are easily onin my top 20 bands, i like them more than radiohead, mues, blur for example, i just think PF and LZ are better.
