Cant use a 71 wrong body style. 68-70 all same except 68 has round lights and 70 grill is rounded off on ends and not square. Also cant use the DAYTONA or charger 500 cause back window is flush not sunk in. But body is same except for the top this was due to the WING like the Superbirds.

the one on the pilot episode was originally a black '69 Dodge Charger it was until about the middle or end of the episode that they painted it orange

actually the general lee was never black in the pilot episode. it wasn't until season 6 or 7 that you saw a black 69 charger and it was a flash back of how the general lee came to be.
