Some woman do not want children, alot of them are married or in a solid relationship but hey if you don't breed then you must hate kids, religion spells intolerance.
Each person male or female is unique, to deny that is pretty much stupid, therefore why do you all need to act a certain way to please others? Lack of self-esteem and self-worth.

I think it's unfortunate that the points of view have to be so extreme. Feminism has gone to some extremes in some quarters and I don't agree with that. However I think that Christians fail to understand the degree to which they sound like they don't approve of rights for women at all.

Teebs, myself and the many women of my acquaintance are not hateful, nor are we devoid of accountability and reason. I am not a radical feminist. I simply believe men and women were created equally in God's image, as the Bible tells us. But it's ridiculous for you to put men up on a pedestal. I know of many women who have been beaten and abused in the name of "godly leadership" and "wifely submission." Men are sinners too. You may not be abusive but I'll wager you have some major problems too.

The only reason that at 31 I'm not a wife and mother is because no man has ever asked me out on a date, much less asked me to marry him. How is feminism to blame for that?
If I'd followed feminist principles, I would've asked men I was interested in out to dinner, and I might be married now. But I followed the old school way of waiting for the man to make the first move and I'm a spinster.

Feminism is to blame for making our men into boys. Prolonged adolescence is caused by the pedagogy of public schools. When mothers entered the work force and left their children to be raised by the state they abandoned our young men. Prolonged adolescence causes men to remain boys well into their thirties and thus has left you single because we have a culture of boys who are afraid to commit to marriage. Feminism has also allowed pornography to be the rule by which our young boys judge beauty.

she was responding to women who would claimed that their husbands had spousal raped them when indeed they did not. Bitter wives only say such horrid things so they can squeeze more money out of their husbands (for whatever reasons), or just do it to hurt their reps. Phyllis said that you consented to sex in the first place so you just can't "claim" spousal rape when indeed it was not. (she never meant that you could never be raped).

Spousal rape is definitely possible. So what do you think of a husband forcing himself on his wife, in pain after giving birth just a day or two ago? Such things have happened, but I guess since she consented to sex when getting married it doesn't count. What about the husbands who beat their wives as a prelude to violent sex? Well, I guess if she gave it up willingly after her beating it wouldn't be called a rape. People don't like to think about these things but they happen.

I think that the term 'feminism' has become a confused one. Women who believe that they have the right to have jobs as they qualify for them, who believe they have the right to equal pay for equal work, who vote and believe spiritually according to their conscience may say that they are NOT feminists. Why is this? Because feminism has come to be a negative word to some extent--it implies that you hate men, hate children, hate family life. This is too bad; it confuses discussion of the subject.

I will remain a stay-at-home daughter. I'm sure tha many GODLY (not secualar) men would love for me to become a titus 2 woman. Yoshi, A mind is a terrible thing to waste. You have a responsibility to enough of an education to better yourself and to be of optimum use to your future family. Not everyone seeking a higher education is working toward a career outside the home.
How do you expect to meet and marry an educated man with the means to provide for eight children if you cannot converse with him at his level?

I greive because of the tripple burden that the femenist movement has placed on the backs of women today. We must be hot lovers, awesome moms, AND pull in at least six figures a year. I only have two out of three down (I'm not a mom) and I cannot imagine handling all three with equal attention.

LOL I graduated college and have two boys and raise them at home while my husband works two jobs. They are very polite and know compassion. Something a daycare would never provide. I work 18 hour days. When the boys go to bed, I tutor from home. And that's how we want to do things around here!
