How Many Words Per Minute Can You Read?

Is my brain dysfunctional or is EVERYONE A GENIUS? (or people lie?) i definately cannot read that fast and when I use programs for speed reading, at 600wpm words are flying in front of me and i cant make any sense. And I know some major techniques out there like removing subvocalization and improving peripheral vision but i cant see any improvement and especially i dont understand - i may think that i know what the words mean but i cant make any complex thinking so fast... So any advice?????

I have a program called EyeQ. I read with full comprehension over 700 wpm. At times up to 1000. No Joking. I accomplish this over a period of about 6 months doing the sessions every day.

I don't like it, I like to practice speaking as fast as I read but for monetary values, which are not written out but shown in thier value ($2,899) I can't say it as fast as it speeds along to the next bit of news content. Its a hooky lil site I have no idea what you could do with this besides use it as practice for teleprompting.

I'm either a speed reader or comprehensive skimmer. I'm looking for something that will exercise my eyes so that I have more endurance, my eyes get tired so quickly. After just a few hours of reading, I can no longer focus.
