  • This is absolutely brilliant physical comedy.

  • hes fuckin great, thats gotta be the tuffest audition in the world. all that silence...

  • I know someone who auditioned for SNL last year and it is NERVEWRACKING. this was a great audition

    Breuer is the fucking shit.

    always was, always will be.

  • its probably one of the most nervous things in the world no doubt. their basically like, hmm you want this job real bad, we've had many of the greatest comedians here, so go ahead, make me laugh asshole.

  • how did they do this?

i am thinking about auditioning as well- itd be great if u could find out 4 me.

  • Well, most of them are recruited to audition from Second City, the Groundlings, or Upright Citizens Brigade. Others get called in from their standup. What you're seeing is actually a sort of final callback. From what I have read/heard, Lorne Michaels and other producers will come to see people several times before calling them in for an audition. A few auditions later, a handful of people audition at the studio, so at this point he's already been pre-screened, screened, and called back.

  • People, it's an audition. He's showing potential for future material. And I must say, this part is excellent. From physical comedy all the way through spot-on impersonations. His Norm is decent enough to fill in for his excellent drunk.

Obviously, the SNL crew liked it. He got the part and became a memorable regular. He's also a stand-up legend.

  • he does a good drunk... funny...

  • You guys know you'd be laughing, if there were an audience to feed off of. Jesus, it's just an audition.

  • He said Jim instead of the other guy. lol. aw. Jim Breuer was sooooo cute back then.

  • bleh, ok i guess.

  • He's great at doing people under the influence... of anything.

  • I know people like this.

  • I'm sure there's 2 or 3 of them somewhere.

    ...probably stoners.

  • pretty weak I must say

  • not one...bam!

  • just the beggining of a star... excellent impression of a drunk food critic... jimy you're wonderfull!!!

  • Hes hilarious right on....
