  • YES LORD! This speech was when I decided to vote for Obama. I was a Hillary supporter, but after UCLA I wanted this woman in the White House any way i could make it happen. She has been a magnificent First Lady. It is wonderful to finally have a President and First Lady who are regard each other as equals.

  • Thanks for posting this great speach! It's pretty clear to me that MO's speeches are very much her own. Smart, compassionate President, smart, compassionate (and *passionate*) 1st Lady - what's not to like?

Loved the part where she says 'when you look at me...I want you to see what investment in public education looks like'. Loved that the crowd liked it too!

  • the people have spokens yes on 8 americans let's stop them and keep it that way and cut that bullshit out saying it's a human rights things and civil rights wow gays not a right it's a choose.....

  • made me cry :] she rocks! IM VOTING FOR OBAMA

  • Thank you for your comment. I've gotten so many negative comments on the Obama rally videos I posted, and was afraid to open the email from YouTube with your comment. Your positive comment was so refreshing. Thank you for taking the time to write it, and I hope we both have fun watching the returns come in tonight. :)

  • well i hope obama talks about the IMMAGRATION issue and how he is going to help them.

  • Without challenges in our lives we will have no competition. Competition what makes our life interesting. Progression of our future and not dictatorship.

  • that we have an extravagant welfare system here that's currently made possible through Chinese slave labor and I believe Vietnam is the next country we are going to snap the whip on. One day, the slaves are going to stop buying our debt and the free ride is going to end, I hope Obama is in office when that happens it will serve them right.

  • it doesn't seem like they are in for real change in America at all from what I've heard and skip read on their website. They are just promising to spend money created out of debt on black people and homos and maybe even a bone or two thrown at white women in the trailer park who didn't select a mate wisely and is a single parent with a ton of kids that we are already paying for. more money we didn't have to begin with on HUD over Haliburton, we still lose in the end.

  • when they speak of change do they mean that they are going to undo the damage caused by such things as The New Deal and LBJ's Great Society? I'm all for downing the industrial military complex to a degree (we need the finest in nuclear arsenal and lots of it)

but the welfare programs and IRS needs to be done away with. Government and Insurance need to get their collaborating butts out of the healthcare industry and free market needs to take care of that industry like all the rest.

    REAL CHANG

  • Who is she talking about? Us or herself??? Our country is divided because people keep telling us it is. Stop saying it. Stop convincing yourself it's so just because someone says so. Look at the world through your own eyes. Make of yourself what you want. Be who you want to be and stop letting people like M.O.tell you that you can't because we are "divided". Her parents did it, why can't we all? She contradicts herself for her own benefit, not ours. Keep your eyes open, always.

  • The whole world watches, when Michelle or Barack speak! Both of them truely show the greatness of the United States - a nation united in a dream for the better! This is the way you guys used to be, but under Bush it all got lost and people started to distrust you. Hillary Clinton, allthough a good politican wouldn't be able to communicate this reborn attitude and desire for change among the world. Barack will bring the US back, in a way only a Kennedy could have done!

  • Come to my channel and you will hear all of the lies that's been spewing from his own mouth and yet you all chant his name and follow an idol like god, a false idol.

  • Michelle Obama is a big phoney. She said she will not vote for Clinton if she wins. Who the hell does she think she is anyway? She even said for the first time she is proud of this countryl. Why does'nt she get lost?

  • i'm inspired and moved and filled with gratitude that we have the OBAMA team poised to bring much needed change to this country - the greatest country on earth.

  • This woman & her husband has never fooled me. They look full of hate, kind of sinister people to me. The truth comes out of her mouth, she has never been proud of this country, she agrees with our enemies the radical Islamist, America is not good, and it has to change. But what kind of change? That's scary. America, please wake-up, Barack Hussein Obama is the worst that can happen to our country. Don't be blind.

  • I agree with you 100%. I hate this woman and her husband. They are going to turn this country into a servile, socialist state and make it collapse. Barack is the most dangerous and the most unqualified politician in the race, by far. I went to UCLA and it infuriates me to the core that they were at my alma mater, polluting my school with their propaganda. I cannot take this! And don't even get me started on Oprah! That ignorant woman needs to stay out of politics and keep her mouth shut!

  • thank you for your intelligence.

and everyone else, make sure you read the comment someone marked as spam from mrgnh

Its stuff Obama doesnt want you to see.

  • All I can say, republicans, move on over. Democrats are going to set our fair country right.

  • She is as full of BS as he is...

Barack Obama REFUSED to wear an American Flag lapel pin, and to put his hand over his heart during our National Anthem, but he'll wear a garb and turban out of respect for that country no problem!

and you want him as our President...

Al Qaeda said they would destroy us from within...

people like you will make that possible

  • yup. she's a communist alright.

  • The speech given 2 wks. ago at UCLA was played on the Hugh Hewitt radio show today, and you can listen for yourself. The audio is at the top of Hugh Hewitt's homepage right now.

All I can say is Fidel Castro, move over!!

  • O.k., let me get this straight. If you are a man of color, you are qualified to be Commander in Chief. If you "preach" change, but don't say what change (its socialism), that qualifies you to be Commander in Chief. His wife gives a scarily fascist speech saying "they" will "heal your soul", that makes her husband qualified to be President. Be afraid, folks, be very afraid. It "sounds" alluring and hopeful, but don't be blind. Think.

  • One of the most incredible things about this video, that more than makes up for the poor video quality, is that you can hear the reactions of individual crowd members. The woman yelling "that's me!!" at about 9.00 - wow. That's personal connection right there.

  • I don't get why people commented that this was so moving. This speech is very positive and eloquent, and I definitely respect Michelle Obama, but it's just another political speech. It sounds just like lots of things Edwards says (and Hillary too). Why is this supposed to be so special?

  • Emotions are never easy to understand, and I don't see why you're bothering to try asking people why they're moved if you weren't in the first place and wouldn't get it even if someone explained it to you. Either you're moved or you're not, just leave it right there.

  • You're absolutely correct. It just seems that the reaction to this is similar to the reaction to everything having to do with Obama. A lot of emotion from very little substance. Obama and his wife haven't actually said anything to distinguish him from many other politicians.

  • I disagree about Obama sounding like any other politician, because the fact that he DOESN'T sound like the others is EXACTLY the reason why millions of Americans and people around the world support him. But if that's what you prefer to believe, there's no use beating up a dead horse here.

  • Let me just say though that you might have been just watching his stomp speeches, and to that I suggest that you actually watch his interviews, Q&As and debates. That's where you can find all the substance that you've been looking for. His speeches are for uplifting and inspiration, but there are more than enough resources out there if you really want to know his policies and plans.

  • There's a video here in particular, with Barack Obama's interview with Google, and it spanned 64 minutes. 64 minutes of conversations about policies and Q&As. Just search for "Obama Google". Also, go to the Barack Obama channel here in YouTube and find his speech in Virginia. Or go to his website. Or read his books.

  • Gaaargh, not this argument again. Every Obama video has this phoney "no substance" argument. Go to his website - he has policies every bit as detailed as Clintons. Just because they don't list statistics on the stump doesn't mean they lack substance.

  • This is SO moving. Thank you so much for posting this video!

  • It's all about the what you hear! Clearly the video is not there. But thanks for posting this, because its so valuable!

  • Thanks! I only have a little Flip Ultra video camera that I carry in my purse, but I really wanted people to be able to hear this. She's an amazing speaker, with an inspiring message.

  • I'm no whimp, but this speech touched, moved and inspired me to the point where I cried at least 3 or 4 times; because for the first time in my life I was able to hear the same values, concerns, dreams and aspirations that I hold expressed by a political figure. Down to earth yet eloquent. She hit the nail on the head time & time again! We need someone like the Obamas in our White House. Maybe the average, hardworking American will finally be represented!!

  • Type in search: I Got a Crush On Ophra and Michelle Obama. Nice song!!!OBAMA 2008!!!

  • I am confident that Michelle Obama will be the most intelligent and charismatic (and still heartwarming) First Lady in entire history of the United States. We are so fortunate to have this wonderful lady as our next First Lady.

  • What exactly dont you want?

  • thanks for posting this!!
