In regards to your computer, how many "boxes" do you have piled on your desk? All plastic and cheap feeling I bet. Only 24"?

Oh, btw, I used to be a Windows fan and software developer for over 10 years. Got a MacBook Pro 15" as a present and you know what? It's my main computer now. I can't even use Windows anymore. It sucks :)

Actually, you can play a lot of games on Mac. There are lot of commercial games, as well as free ones (like Urban Terror etc). Also, with WINE installed, you can play a lot of Windows games right on Mac, without any emulators or without installing Windows.

So there. And don't forget that Macs have absolutely amazing hardware, which results in stunning performance in graphics-intense games.

go on google and search "can you RUN it". It has a large selection of games and it tests your computers compatability with the game. Its really great. You can find out what games you can and cant run, and at what settings. Check it out!

Sweet I'm getting the exact same laptop for 1600 USD, no joke. I'm gonna purchase it in a few days and it will be shipped by UPS 2 day AIR! W00T! I'm surprised it actually plays games. It doesn't matter much to me because I have a gaming rig with a Quad @3.6 GHZ GTX265 in SLI. Anyways, it's great to know that the laptop can do more.

I too have a 08 MBP. I did have one question. I have been unable to run this game under the high settings on DX10, I only get about 24 FPS. When I switch to DX9 mode I get about 50, 60 fps.

Has this been your experience too?

How do you get 50 - 60 fps? You must be playing on low. I get around 24 FPS or so on native resolution (1440x900) with everything on high except the top 3 settings on very high.

Is this with the 9400 or the 9600? And are you able to switch between graphics chips while in Windows? It's possible that it was on the 9400 on Windows or something and it wasn't switched. Maybe you should check on that.
