FPS isnt everything. I've seen TM's shooting 250 FPS outrange other guns shooting 450 FPS

Also, Laws Restrict FPS in japan, so FPS will be lower

@spyderalltheway Yes, but they are sold as "Challenge Kits" in japan, so they are not seen as airsoft weapons, but rather as models. We Americans can have them normally because we (mostly) dont have that many laws against FPS. TMs on the other hand are sold all in one piece and are legally airsoft weapons, therefore they have to shoot 300 fps or lower.

Joule is a unit of Energy. another words Force x distance, Newton-meter. or further calculated (Kg-meter / second^2 ) x meter

FPS is the measure of the avg exit velocity of the BB once fired. Factors that affect it are inner barrel diameter, hop-up, air compression in the gearbox cylinder, nozzle, etc. If anything wind just offsets BB trajectory. Hop up negates the wind resistance for the most part.

different AEGs/ GBBs having the same energy have varying FPS because of many factors.

They have factory standards.

I was in Japan last year and the year before, both times buying guns.

They had 4 upgrade options in the store for the gun - only one was power - and that was maxing it out - so my friend got an mp5 ras that shot 350 fps, but still 0,98 joules

I had the formula somewhere, but from my understanding the fps may vary a lot depending on things such as wind and whatnot, thus you may gain higher fps with low joules then most folks normally believe.

Japan has a limitation on joules, not fps.

Joules can not exceed 0.98 (last time I checked at least).

But no other companies make a FN-SCAR-H or Tavor, so what would be the incentive? You might be able to find a conversion kit for an L96 to make a Tavor, and you can definitely convert the SCAR-L to an H, but those are not really very popular designs.

Chill buddy. I own a TM M4, I know it's internally the same gun. Technically it's a different model. It's a PMC, not a Carbine, SR-16, M733, M16A2, etc.

Domino-double duh! It's a TM M4 with a short rail and short H&K 416 stock! They just changed the front and back but it's the same M4.
