@ThePocoamisto No it wouldn't... If they did that, they'd sound like every other shitty band these days, I applaud Abney Park for their unique sound, and I hope they DON'T taint it with such filth.
I would say the audio problems are not theirs. The balance seems off which would be a tech problem. Our school plays suffered horribly from this. We sounded great but the mic on the instruments never got turned down so it sounded like "consider yourself ah urgggg consider yourself ahhhmamamhahahda."
@maxmin That makes sense. I forget how badly cameras can mess up audio. I usually just assume from my experience in school plays, how bad tech can act up.
I've listened to like....3-4 songs of theirs to try and get into em...but no matter how high I turn the volume..I cannotmake out the lyrics cause his voice is so...mumbly @O@;; uuugh, it's frustrating. I love they're style, but I like to hear/understand lyrics haha
Spartan Youth Radio interviewed Cpt. Robert of Abney Park. Check out our channel or google Spartan Youth Radio for the extended version....24 minutes of Abney Park!
Choose a song to learn and sing that is. We only knew it by the name of Dead Man's Chest back then, and when I saw the Abney Park acoustic lyrics sheets they passed out at Dragon*Con I though "Derelict. That sounds like fun!... wait... I know this song...." heheh...
No one seems to believe me that I knew this song before I knew Abney Park. Music class in 8th grade, they split us up into teams to pick one song at least a hundred years old. This was ours! :)
Abney Park just provides the killer music to out it to. ;)
I believe you. Robert Louis Stevenson wrote the first verse for Treasure Island, and Young Ewing Allison added the rest of the verses in 1891. It's a classic.
itd be awesome if they added heavy guitar and awesome drums :P

@RePublicOfTheDomain This one was just the audio from the on-camera mic, so it's not a good representation of the actual sound of the show.

Just think of his voice as another instrument, who cares what he says?

The studio versions are more understandable, but I can't make out a word here and there still.
