manchester is amazing for shopping, if you ever go back, check out the northern quarter, its an alternative shopping area (with one-off shops, local record stores, etc) with great pubs and bars.
Wow. I've never been up the Sugarloaf. I'm from SW West. When I was little(er) I loved the Sugarloaf. We drove past it every time we went to visit my Nana&Grandad. Driving round the Sugarloaf was my favourite part of the very long journey.
Ye I am gay. Ye you fucked my mum. Ye she has some nice pussy. Ye I have AIDS. Ye my name is Meatlover. Ok I'll tell her you need your money. Ye, my mum is a prostitute.
good video, i totaly agree with you the first time I climbed a mountain in scotland, it was murder on the way up but once your up there its a marvelouse feeling :)
lol aint canal street jsut that amazing!! untill you get the mancunian chavs that come along yelling "fucking dykes" at everyone who passes and sighning there own death warrant
loved thiw video, brought back so many memories I used to walk up the Sugar Loaf as a child - and ride my pony up there too! great to see you enjoyed it.
When I was a kid we used to run up the Sugar Loaf at lunchtime, eat our sandwiches, and slide on dinner trays back to school just in time for P.E. Steep?!? Pah!
Nicely done and very interesting, see it aint all that grim up north! Ah it's a shame you didn't check out the indie bars/clubs that Mancs famous for, there's some really cool ones. Good vid tho, keep em up!
I'm glad you enjoyed your train journey. If I can take a train for a long journey now, I always do and leave the car at home. Far more interesting and comfortable. I think I caught a glimpse of the much-loved "District & Circle". Good job it was running that day!
I think you have Londoner Syndrome. The symptoms are:
- referring to Cardiff as "the big town in Wales" because "the capital city" just doesn't seem right for such a small place.
- Getting thrilled by riding a train in the countryside with not many people around. I wonder if people living in cottages in Themiddleofnowhere get so elated when walking down Oxford Street.
Also, you sound a bit like Eddie Izzard when describing the annoying businesswoman. That's a good thing. It means you're funny.
Paperlilies, it wasnt boring, to be honest, it was way to short. We know nothing much about england around here, swabish people arent very informed, sadly most things we hear from england are about news, and not the country or its culture. Some famous tales like Jack the Ripper or stories from Poe, and Miss Marple of course. And thats it with general education.
And a lot have travelled to london, and know at least this city a bit. Back to your journey, .. unfortunately you had only a few pictures (cute, you wearing the sunglasses! B) ), the castle was really...dark! The top of the hills reminded me of visiting Mount Vesuvius by napoli. And I did recognize something else, the trains seem to be very modern, arent there any old trains left, just for ambience.
I missed the old waggons, always swaying slightly from left to right and back. They were much slower, the hills wouldnt pass by this fast anymore, making you less wonder at them. And there was more time left for good conversations or a cup of tasty tea. And were is this famous black castle?? Was it Ivanhoes?
Paperlilies, you really should think about applying at BBC. A series of ..."england by nature" or something, you presenting and travelling across england, every spot useful to insiders! I really would appreciste it. You got a proper accent, education, and style, you are eloquent, typical british, funny. one moment you look breath-taking, the other just like sally from the stand selling chips. guys love you, some gals do too!
Gay areas & clubs might be a break from ogling for you but it can be a pretty uncomfortable feeling for us guys when we find ourselves in that situation.
My ex-gf is a model and I was in the club biz so we found ourselves at a lot of events like that.
I can now fully empathize with you gals(well some of you) that are looked at as if you were dinner.
that was nice sharing your trip. I'd like to do something like that someday. I'm not even close to anything like that right now though. I think the closest hill/mountain to me would be the sand dunes lol. Thats like 20 miles away or so. But yeah Congrats on making it to the top of your mountain!
Congratulations on getting to the top! The story about the kite was great. It's in your voice that you had a great time. Looks like the weather was great too. Although I would trade for English hot. It will be 36 here today..42 with the heat index (pant)
I was hoping for a travel vid from your getaway!! WooHoo! And now for the weirdest comment I have EVER posted ANYWHERE: I just noticed that you have what might be the best set of British teeth I have ever seen. The stereotypical nasty british teeth do not apply here! ;)
That is one weird-as* comment for sure! Hope you take it as a unconventional compliment from a guy who has lost TOO much sleep due to editing!!
Yay for kites! This video wasn't boring at all-- gives people like me a chance to see part of the world. I might be going on a train ride this weekend; maybe I'll get a window seat and film for it!
Lovely trip. I'm feeling all nostalgic now. The most I saw of Manchester was the four plus hours I spent in one of the train stations there because my totally unobservant friends and I missed our scheduled train to Liverpool (we literally waved goodbye to it as it was pulling away from the track opposite from the one we were standing on) and have to sit in the station until the next train, which wasn't coming until four in the morning. Ha, good times. Also, your view from Sugarloaf was fabu.
Congrats on accomplishing a goal (Climbing Sugarloaf Mountain)I love all the pics,They're Beautiful....I loved the video...Have a great day....Nope..didn't bore me...I really enjoyed it...
