Let me share with you the truth, there is no complicated supernatual thing. The reason we believe this is because of the Human's complex brain. The Bible is the word of God. God - implicitly - said that. Jesus is God. If Jesus is God then when God says these things Jesus is necessarily also saying the same thing since he is the same being ("consubstantially").

If God created the universe then God existed before the universe. If Jesus is God then Jesus existed before the universe. I think it's YOU who has not read the Bible. No offence.

@k0smon I agree wholeheartedly. I like Jesus, but that doesn't make him God. Jesus' own disciples never prayed to him as God. I only recently found out that hell is Gahenna which is Hinnom. Jesus was literally saying "if you act like garbage you'll suffer the fires of the garbage-pit." You will find few preechers who know that important fact.

I disagree with your comment about before time everyone was. We were created beings, it clearly says in Genesis we were made from the dust of the earth, that God breathed the breath of life into us. Nothing we can fathom is beyond creation except God and even then we can only understand a very small part him.
