i hate to say this because it's become a cliché YouTube comment that cries for thumbs ups, but I'm lost in the good part of YouTube again.. I thought I had found the best music already (Sigur Ros, M83, Hammock, Eluvium) but there's really way more than I thought. I feel like a fool
@imDxnie In an old school record store this would be filed under Ambient/Instrumental but in someone's collection it would easily sit alongside Prog Rock bands (65 Days of Static, Explosions in the Sky etc.) So check out both?
@SarahOrdinary Post Rock, not Prog Rock. Prog Rock is bands like "King Crimson, Genesis, Yes, Renaissance, Mars Volta, Tool, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull" etc.
@OlmoLane Really? Woo. I think Mars Volta and Sigur Ross are a bit post rocky too then in that case. Shiny response though, thanks for being polite and enlightening. Seems rare on here! xxx

There's a band with similar big soundscapes and crescendos named While The City Sleeps, look it up!

I love finding music I have to turn up the volume for, just to hear the tiniest little details.
