I drive my 2002 Ford Ranger 4x4 through the mud like its a desert racer. Ive hauled 2700lbs of bricks in the bed on the truck, ive dogged it, drove over and smashed 5 foot tall pine trees with it in the woods. The result? It looks and runs brand new with 173K miles on it, everything works perfect on it, some scratches and a couple dings but thats normal. Try doing that with your new ricer import Toyota Tacoma, oh wait? have fun taking it to Toyota for recalls every two months! dumbasses
These cars being destroyed have so much life left in them. Even know they have been hard at work for their whole lives with well over 200k miles, they pry still have more life left in them than the brandnew overpriced Japanese import they just invested in. Good luck going from regular oil changes and brake jobs to ordering electronic parts overseas and taking your car to the toyota dealership for recalls on your vehicle every two months.
They're trashing them because the whole point of Cash-for-Clunkers is to take an old inefficient vehicle off the road and replace it with a new efficient one. It's funny how nowadays with onstar and other similar products that they can control the state of our vehicles. Reminds me of that RFID chip they wanted to insert into all of us and have all our finances and identification run through them.

It's funny how nowadays with onstar and other similar products that they can control the state of our vehicles. Reminds me of that RFID chip they wanted to insert into all of us and have all our finances and identification run through them.
If you upset the government they can turn the chip off and you will not have any power to purchase the necessities of life. They can also unlock your car to gain access, shut it down, track you, etc. Amazing how perfect all this can work out for them.

YOu got that right, they built them stronger, and with actual metal back then, much stronger, and how long it took for the engine to go is a testament to how strong they are unlike some of the cars that go in two minuts this lasted 5 full minutes though this babarism. let this kind of thing never happen again.
