I was heard that Overeem is fired by Zuffa and won't continue the tournment.

I have no details. Does anyone know what happened?

@Chevalier765 All I know so far about that is that they cut him from the heavyweight tourney after they couldnt come to an agreement about the fight date. Alistair needed more time to arrange a decent camp to prepare for the fight with Antonio Silva. Alistair said he wanted time untill atleast october and the tourney is on 12 september or so.

I guess well see him back fighting soon but just not in the tournament. And he was still under Strikeforce contract last interview I heard.

look at 9:50 the intelegence of werdum who wanted to lourd overreem by faking that hes leg was hurting and then when overeem goes for the low kick he engage the take down !! that's pure stategie baby !! sad that he was not succefull to control this freaking beast on the ground !

[Part 1] He said he has been waiting for this match for nearly a year.

He thinks that the match is not that intense. Maybe it's because Fabricio Werdum is so handsome that Alistair doesn't want to smash his pretty face.

After the 3 rounds, he thinks that the match is too short and unsatisfying.

Alistair look better throughout the whole match but Fabricio Werdum is not bad either.

All in all, is not exciting enough. It feels like they're practicing.

Alistair didn't give his very best to try to win this match.

Fabricio is a master in ground game and makes Alistair doesn't dare to roll on the ground with Fabricio.

If they both stand up in this match, Alistair will have more advantages.

@hailkayy : That's not what happened from my viewpoint, because I feel like none of them were acting like MMA fighters, the first one was rejecting ground fight, whereas the other was rejecting stand up... So I didn't enjoy it. You can try to stand up or to takedown your opponent by any means necessary, but there are limits...

But I respect your opinion dude, if you think it WAS epic.

這場我期待好久~期待了至少快一年 ! 感覺這場比賽好像打的不是很激烈! 可能是Fabricio Werdum 長太帥了! 所以Alistair Overeem都不敢使出全力的打!

這場3場都有打完~所以感覺好像有點意猶未盡~也有點不分勝負! Alistair Overeem是有點佔上風~但是Fabricio Werdum 也沒有輸到哪去! 總之這場就是打的不是很激烈~好像是在練習的感覺! 有點懷疑這兩個人私底下是不是好朋友~好像在玩一樣!

Alistair Overeem應該是有點放水的感覺! Fabricio Werdum 是地板戰的高手!

Alistair Overeem真的不敢跟對手在地上翻來翻去!所以這場如果兩個­人都站起來得話!

Alistair Overeem會比較佔優勢!

And a fight which should have been an epic moment, but unfortunately turned out to be a shame for MMA...
