  • Metric bolts come in 2 grades, 8.8 which is like a grade 5, and 10.9 which is like a grade 8. They are usually stamped on the head. Standard bolts are: grade 2, no marks on the head, grade 5, three marks on the head, grade 8, 6 marks on the head, and any more than 6 marks on the head, this is a hard alloy . Most all socket head bolts(allen key) are grade 12.9 Hope this helps someone, I sell bolts for a living, and deal with these issues all day long, great vids Dan, great work.

  • Thank you, BOLT GOD! We always need good fastners here, and we'll mention you and the company!

  • whoa nelly!! you tried to hit me below the belt with that one lol i'll have you know i'm very proud of that dent. i put it there with a shovel haha. that particular truck you speak of is purely for off roading fun and is not a show truck. the paint was done to protect and cover multi colors/welding. keep up the good vids and get joe back on cam! he is missed ;)

  • dude that dog is awsome. i wish i had a dog around the shop. isnt metric bolta stronger anyways?

  • lol no sir. the reason i asked is i've never heard of anything over grade 8 i very well maybe wrong.. but im just saying behbeh! no hard feeling bro.

  • I was thinking of something else when I said that. You cought me slippin' and I called grade 8, grade 9.

I have many things going on here, and more than enough on my mind, so I tend too make a mistake from time too time.

Now go fix that dent in your fender.

  • grade #9???? did i miss something? or were you shmokin?
