The first time I saw a tribal dancer, I thought wow, how cool, this is so much like jazz! And, ever since, I worked and worked on my arms (my weak point, since I'm Egyptian). Look it up on YouTube, FF to 2:35 to get to the part of the song that Zoe's dancing to. Sheesh! It's not some mystery song people, I've had it saved on my computer for like, forever!!!

Haha, well, just because you've known it for years, doesn't mean other people have. And with songs that have a 15 second clip are hard to describe and find. And I have listened to the whole song.. it's just the part in the middle that she uses (though that part is the background for the rest of the song).

But really, thank you so much.. I'm sure plenty of other people are as thrilled as I am to have this song now. =)

She does look very skinny in this video. The first time I ever saw her dance, was that Tribal Fest 7 footage with the giant lilies in her hair. She seemed to be much more in control of her movements in that video, but this performance was just as great. I love the precise little stops and the arm movements. She has great energy.

Zoe Jakes is my current favorite dancer. I've been doing tribal for five years and she astounds me with her control. Amy Sigil is a very close second, but Zoe...she's just everything this art form should be!

living in cali its hard to not be pressured to lose too much weight.....zoe really proves that with dance its not about doing tons of moves or being super all over the place...if you do just a few moves slowly but do them with such technicality and precision...its fucking awesome. she doesnt let herself get too carried away, keeps it right at that edge where you want to see more
