What exactly was the error message you got? It sounds more like you have just mistaken something.

I downloaded it, it was zipped so I extracted the files and after that when I clicked the program it just said that they dont know who created the program so I had to choose between searching the web for it or looking through a list of my own programs. Neither worked.

Are you using Windows XP? You need to install an additional Sidebar program before you can use gadgets. Details can be found on the FAQ section on my page.

When i try to use the spectrum analyzer it won't show me any available devices to monitor.... help plz??

I suppose you are using Windows XP? Unlike the Vista/7 version, the XP version of this gadget requires an active sound-recording source to be monitored. Open your volume control panel or the control panel of your sound card, and make sure you have the proper recording sources selected.

They are not spectrum skin. They are System Animator animations (MacFace format) configured to monitor "Sound output". You can download this Konata and Kagami skin in my "Lucky Star" extra animation pack.

No. It works on XP and Windows 7 as well. In the case of XP, you need to install the Sidebar program for XP to be able to use gadgets.

Just download System Animator gadget, put it on your desktop and configure it in whatever ways you like. What you want it to monitor or how you want it to look like is freely up to you. You can do something similar as demonstrated in my videos, or it can be something totally different :)
