  • do you need a certain type of magnet?

  • hey could you help me i cant make that little motor tell wich kind of magnet i need and wich kind of wire i need pls..

  • I am very happy to see the vidoe Small Simplest Motor after you give this

  • I Love The Video It Can Increase My Knowledge Small Simplest Motor 2

  • Steady I Really Like This Video Small Simplest Motor 2

  • Good, I like that you share this video Small Simplest Motor, I wish success always

  • Nice Video Small Simplest Motor 2 That You Share , So Very Nice Thanks You

  • I Really Like The Video Small Simplest Motor 2 From Your

  • Your Video Is Very Useful Sharing Small Simplest Motor 2

  • how do i fit it in my car..................

  • Sooo, whats that going to power

  • Where do I get a wire? Is that from a hangar?

  • i cant make this motor.. i dont find that reference coin:/

  • good thinking

  • is that neodymium

  • I'm making it

  • isn't this a homopolar motor or something

  • gotta give credit where due, that im sure took a bit of work to get it balanced and shaped right. really cool :-). lol the things we do in our spare time

  • Why does everyone want that table? It looks like a banana.

  • I don't get why you copied how everyone else did it, with this small battery.

Try reversing the battery magnet placement.

Since what turns the wire is the wire having a current, while in a magnetic field.

So take full advantage of the field :P

  • Beautiful!

  • Runescape music!!!!!!

  • @TheMicah0104 Really? Which Runescape track is this? I don't recognize it.

  • HEY AWESOME VID DUDE!!

  • what can it possibly power?

  • Where can I buy that table?

  • @raudonas21

    wwwdotharborfreightdotcom/

    item# 99681

    or wwwdotnortherntooldotcom

  • you can buy these batteries at Hobby Lobby (6) of them are 3.99 ...a 10x one worked for me

  • @MrRobbyrocket

    dollar tree dude!

  • pls tell me what the music is

  • going in ma favorites..click..its in my favorite..click..i'm now playing it for the 7th time

  • @RANDOMKID299 Any toy or wwwdotmagnet4lessdotcom

  • that is really cool and the smallest one ive ever seen

  • what music is that?

  • excuse me sir where do you find this wire

  • @Snakeyruthless07 Look in Fray's, Radio Shack, etc. Good luck!

  • that's good, but The simplest motor of the world is better

  • very good

  • sounds like some rs shit

  • Really the smallest unipolar motor ever

  • 12 people failed to make this motor.

  • i can leave something like this on for days and it wont like catch fire right? cuz to have this just spinning on my desk or something would be pretty neat

  • that was awesome

  • what is the song???

  • put the coin above it

  • Nice one, Rob. An explanation of the operating principles would enrich the experience though.......And MrFrederick - 'kool' is actually spelled Cool, but maybe you work in an ice-cream factory.

  • Nice one, Rob. An explanation of the operating principles would enrich the experience though.......And MrFrederick - 'kool' is actually spelled COOL.

  • your video is so kool

  • point?

  • very clever

  • does the magnet have to be encased?

  • This makes me smile

  • Does anybody know where the music comes from? It sounds like it could come from some sort of game, but I don't think I ever heard it.

  • @OiNostoi it almost sounds like RuneScape... I was scanning the comments to find an answer to the same question lol.

  • YOU ARE RETARDED!

  • It's clearly how spiders work.

  • just wondering if you placed the wire on the negative side of the battery if the wire would spin clockwise rather than counter-clockwise... perhaps it's the true nature of the positive/negative vortexes created by magnetism

  • thats a reli shinny coin

  • thats a good way to get nothing done

  • It's kinda cute haha

  • Please watch:

THE WORLD'S SIMPLEST TRANSMISSION for BICYCLE

  • Dose it stop

  • @PorsukToros That's a dime.

  • lying bitch

  • America this is England boy

  • how long does it rotate till the battery is empty?

  • if you dont have a quarter you cant make it turn by the way. thats why he is showing 20 times.

  • How long does the battery last?

  • OK! Now show a practical application of it. what shaft it drives what gear it turns & the usage thereof....PLEASE (*¿*)

  • That is a MACRO motor when compared to the trure smallest motors etched on silicon wafers.

  • Does this work with any type of magnet or neodymium magnets only?

  • any magnets. neodynium magnets are just a lot stronger, so they can afford to be this small.

  • i tried common magnets, it wont work.

i assume you tried it so i guess i'll just have to check contact points and battery then.

    Tnks.

  • they have to be unpainted, or have a conductive coating on them. neodynium magnets have a thin paint-like coating on them which is conductive, so make sure your magnet can pass a current through it. I think ordinary black ones don't work, and those metal ones that are painted don't either.. I think. But they might.

  • Hmmm, i see. Tnks

  • The load is the friction that is overcome to make it turn. It's weakness does not negate it's status as a motor.

  • I concur!

  • it moves air ^^

  • Nice work. I bet the "tuning", (the alignment of the magnet battery and wire) took ages. Beautifully made. Thanks.

  • elegant. very nice.

how long does the battery last? not long, I'd wager.

  • Very interesting

  • this is really cool! so i tried it and when i put the battery and magnet together, it heated up and i burnt my finger rofl. soooooo it doesnt really work for me

  • no until the battery runs out

  • @eamonnteh ha ha

  • half pipe

  • I THINK ABOUT MAKE THAT BUT I COULDN'T DO IT

u Copy my idea XDD anyway, it's cool

  • nice music it realy matches the video :P

  • I like it,Be productive with it.

  • how does it work?

  • with this invention i now can rule the world !!!!!!!!!!!!

    bwahahahhhahhhahahahhahh

    bbwaahahahahhahaahaha

    bwahahhahaah

  • Does anyone know what kind of battery, magnet, and wire is shown in the video? Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

  • i'm guessing a neodimium magnet, some copper or enamel wire, and a small watch battery (they can be found in some flashlights too) but this is only a guess, correct me if i'm wrong, though i think it would still work if you did this combo.

  • Try your local battery, magnet, and wire store. Good luck.

  • where the hell can i find those kind of magnets besides going on ebay??? somebody please answer me!!!!!!

  • get a fucking life

  • how long will that last?

  • ...you could actually turn something like this into a generator, spin the wire and it will charge the battery (if you spin it the right way)

  • it's basic duh... "simplest"??

  • go watch masturbating dogs or fred then

  • dont be a dick

    no one likes fred anymore

and ive never heard of masterbation dogs.

    haha its a joke

  • All these "simple" motors are really cool and help to explain the physical characteristics of magnets and electricity, etc., but they have no useful purpose beyond novelty.

  • @four2x4 and they get hot!!!

  • @dahahaka Yes, they do. The batteries are put to a full drain in this example, which basically is shorting the battery out, hence the heat! Still kinda neat to watch...

  • @four2x4 way to be a troll

  • @AbelNightroad77 ...If by chance you are referring to my comment about these motors not being of much use except to look at, and ~ if to you, that makes me a troll, then I guess that's your "valuable opinion" which is worth nothing to me.

  • @four2x4 awww did i make you annoyed its just a cool thing that you usually wouldn't think to happen so by giving your comment just to sound smart is kinda a buzz kill

  • @AbelNightroad77 You would have to mean something to me, before I'd even start to let you annoy me. I've learned long ago that the real trolls will keep engaging people like me if I let them.

I made a comment about this motor TWO years ago, that you recently insulted me over. Who's the troll?

  • Comment removed

  • @AbelNightroad77 ...by the way, Yes, it is cool. I agree that it is cool. I've said that.

  • the dime is to show how small this motor really is

  • For what the dime?

  • lorax, the dime is to give scale.

  • yes! copper!!!

  • What Kind Of Wire? Copper?

  • great! the problem is that your magnet is different from the ones I have in my country, the both sides of the magnet shown in the video can attract ? Some1 answer me pleeease

  • buy some on ebay

  • MONSY MONSY MONSY MONSY Monsy Monsy MONSYYYYYY

  • hi.. we´re workin on a science project and we´re goin to do rthis.. but where do u put the coin? and why the wire dont fell down?

  • the coin's just for size reference

  • great video and good work. 5*'s

  • "All engineers and scientific data clearly points out that this is powered by pixie fairies!!!!"

    dude . . . that just shows ignorance . . .

pixies and fairies are two entirely separate things!

And fairies are not like that. it had to be pixies!

  • LOL

  • @weeeendog Ha EVERYONE KNOWS PIXIES ARENT REAL!! go dragons though

  • @NoizeyMan

Dragons have a much larger COOL factor than elves.

  • @weeeendog but then how do you explain that so many people can see it thanks to PIXELS? *cue rimshot*

  • @44R0Ndin

Oh that's easy . . . for every pixel there is one dedicated pixie. Yeah dude . . . that's a lot of pixies . . . cymbal crash chsssss!

  • cute!

Is the magnet not charged along its cylindrical axis? In other words, is N & S not sticking out the axis direction? Otherwise I dont see an orthogonal magnetic moment . . .

  • pole orientation?

  • I just made one , it works fine . I found if the wires are getting hot and it won't spin , flp the magnet over .If you fiddle around too much using the wrong pole you can wreck the battery .

  • questions:

the wire: magnetic & electric? or just one of those?

How did you bend the wire into shape so exactly?

  • Nice job. Now I don't have to make one with a watch battery.

  • Did the person blowing on it get dizzy and fall off of the stool?

  • Will it please my wife?

  • How beautiful and simple this is and yet how complex of the particles' behavior!

  • cool, wat else does it do? :)

  • SCIENCE!

  • It's powered by tiny, invisible elves.

  • ha! ha! ha!

  • Wow, how ignorant can your comment be? saying somthing like that without thinking it through. oh tiny little elves!! oh and there invisible? wow. All engineers and scientific data clearly points out that this is powered by pixie fairies!!!! smaller than elves and always invisible. so ha! you are wrong! admit your mistake!! send a apoligy letter to keeble. You have offended the cookie makers!

  • i ment keebler. XD

  • Leaderborn, all the scientific data I ever read refutes the existence of pixie fairies. Einstein himself said that even the warping of space-time is caused by tiny, invisible elves--or was it gravity? Damn, the five minutes I spent in college was wasted....

  • kinda looks like a spider when it's spinning round.

  • how long does it keep spinning?

  • until the battery runs out

  • U can get those magnets from those magnetix kids toys... you know... the magnetic sticks? they have little chromed magnets in them.

  • maybe we can attach a generator to it and get cheap electricity!

  • that would not be a very good idea the amount of motors like that you would need to make a profit would be a crazy amount it would be easier just to pay the bills

  • it was just an idea ;)

  • ya but just trying to warn you before you try

  • Well, you'll never get the amount of energy out of the generator as you put in. Just simple physics.

  • what it's the name of the song?

  • OMG thats awsome

  • will it power a car?

  • hahahahhahaha

  • Lol, yeah.

  • if you multipli them with 100 000 then maybe :>

  • don't u mean 1 million?

  • @dominiclabso Maybie.

  • @dominiclabso

    Yes

  • where can u find a magnet

  • I've gotta make one of these as soon as I find a round pill like magnet.

  • looks like a watch battery
