  • i can't make my lines smaller or bigger! D:

  • can u make Curves in GIMP?

  • i think i figured out how she made the lines look more "nicer"

you need to have your lineart on a transparent layer

    click on layer>transparency>add to selection,

then you go to select>to path,

when thats finished you click selct>none,

create a new transparent layer, then go to paths and click the "paint along the path button.

If you want i can make a tutorial

  • Yes, please, can you please tut? thanks! :D

  • please make sure u go through the steps slowly! D:

  • @brenda1298 Can you also make a tutorial on how to make lineart? I want to color over my lines :( Thanks!

  • how did you make the line look nicer??

  • how do you make the line nicer??

  • u have to make the image really really big! try 5000 by 3500

  • oh thank you! i'll try that ^ _ ^

  • my tablet sux, when i use GIMP it like lags slightly, and when i draw it like the the drawing thingy isn't centered on the cusor, anybody know how to fix this? its a wacom Bamboo.

  • i donno but srry~ Does your bamboo fun pen tip grind down ? cuz i donno what to do because my pen tip it gone O.o?

  • I have a wacom bamboo, and I figured out that to keep mine from lagging when using gimp I need to open up gimp before I plug in my tablet. As long as gimp is loaded first and then my tablet plugged in, no more lag time. Hope that helps!

  • Hi,

    4 Start ****

    ; )

  • Gah! had another look and no, he doesn't use 'draw in ink' although if you wanted, I guess you could.

  • Oh yeah, to get the inked look, I think he uses the "draw in ink" tool which makes thicker or thinner lines depending on the speed which he moves his pointing device.

  • I've figured out to the part where he goes and does layer > transparency > add to selection

after that, select > to path

but this is where im slightly confused, after he does that, it makes a vector representation of his drawing which then he inks by perhaps using the stroke path tool. I've gotten this far and im not sure if i have missed a step but atm i've been able to recreate it with varying results. Anyone willing to try and improve on this?

  • What did you press to make the lines look like.....how do i say this.....it was inked by hand

  • How did you clean up the lines? I've always wanted to know. At 3:34 the lines turn very nice.

  • Love it too. I have gimp and need to learn alot like make anime and manga.

  • Love it.

  • cYour drawings are good and entertaining to watch, keep it up!
