Too bad they didn't have Totoro talk in Toy Story 3. The voice actor in My Neighbor Totoro is none other than Frank Welker (Optimus Prime).

@sendono Well, great minds think alike. And now we know they hang out together as well. Thumbs up to both Miyazaki (and other Ghibli animators) and Lasseter (and the rest of Pixar).

Both are great studios, staffed by brilliant and creative animators. I hope they keep their legacy of great, warm-hearted films alive for many years to come.

@CArownny "The film remains the only theatrical Studio Ghibli feature not yet released on home video in the United States, although it was aired on Turner Classic Movies in January of 2006, as part of the channel's month-long salute to Miyazaki and Ghibli. The film's home video release and distribution rights in North America belong to Disney. As of May 2005, it was not scheduled for release to the North American home video market."

DVDs from Japan/UK/Australia do have English subs though.
