Maybe I missed it in the comments somewhere but what caliber and what grain of bullet was the shooter using? Leupold scope or another brand? TIA.

BTW, it was an excellent shot and a very humane kill. I had a similar job here in georgia a few years back working on a peanut farm. However, none of my shots were as far as that one was. Most of mine were in the 150 to 200 yard range.

i must admit i did feel for the deer not dying instantly. but being killed by a rifle shot and then dying a minute later is way better than having a bunch of wild wolves eat at your ass guts throat and body while youre still alive is way worse than this. at the same time we must respect the deer for giving its life so that we may live by eating its body. great shot too.
