Stunning machine. I've had a sniff over it and seen it go round corners no problem. I believe the exhausts are ceramic coated so the heat from them aren't a problem. The heat when the cooling fan cuts in is another matter! Awesome beast.

Further: since this video the engine has been tuned by a Porche engineer to put out about 550+BHP, it's being fitted with narrower bars and a bikini fairing similar to the old Honda CX500 fairing, and then there's that second gear.... In theory it should be able, with the right aerodynamics, to pull around 300mph. as the wheels were also a home made affair when this video was made, it's since been given a set of split rims that should be up to the job of 275mph a bit more safely.

The gearbox is from an engineering lathe rated at 800+bhp, when it cracked 200mph it did so with one gear, a single gear... the latest version has 2 gears. The tyres were rated 'up to 120mph' on that run too. The forks are home made, the discs are about half an inch thick which is why there's only one, that's all that was needed. When it was pulling 200mph it was on about a third throttle at around 5000rpm, the latest gearing is for about 4000rpm (I think) at 275mph.
