Bless his heart. Have him keep up with his violin. My 26 yos began Suzuki at age 3, but by six he wanted to quit & do Karate. He still regrets his quitting. (I had to learn to play along with him.) But, he did get through Calculus as a Jr. in high school and completed a degree in Biomedical Engineering at Columbia U. in NYC, so that music early paid off with Math skills.
