O.o what the? you say its a chinese copy yet i saw that the writing on the game is clearly japanese. yup, thats japanese alright.(took japanese for 3 years) i can read it, write it and speak it. >_> the wording characters are in hiragana and katakana, but simplified so there isnt any kanji used in the game...Smart!

I think this has the potential to be the best 8-bit renedition of FFVII. No offense, but the chinese remake is purely crap. The interface, the battle system, the crappy graphics and music, its beyond saving... This on the other hand, is a very good 8-bit remake. A HD remake of FFVII on a next-generation console is not coming out any soon, so this may be a worthwhile project. Keep it up!!

Cause of the Materia System, also because it was the game that introduced for the very first time 3D Graphics into the Final Fantasy Series in the year 1997 on the Playstation. The Characters really had good storys of them. And because it was the first game that the Company Square-Soft decided to a little change with a female character, as we already she dies when the main enemy character kills her. It really made a lot of talk back then in the year 1997-1998.

Granted, anything that SquareEnix produces is half the game that anything Squaresoft produced, but oh well, that's all in the past. The merger with Enix destroyed Square.
