  • microwave for 55 seconds gets it soft and moist its good 2 days after u make it

  • Thank you very much! Aloha from Hawaii

  • Thank you So much for this vid, your Mom is so Awsome im gong to go make some right now peace

  • Brilliant.

  • for a non native, she does make some very great frybread.

but there are many different varieties and many recipes.

she is very informative but just remember dont stretch the dough too thin, cause if you do. It will make a very hard tortilla. Plus, if your dough is still dry, add more water.

Eat the frybread with slow cooked beans, or have it as a dessert with powder sugar and honey or fruit preserve. ^_^y

  • if their is some left over grease you can make gravy, put flower in it and make it thick and add water and add salt and peeper

  • is the frybread still good the day after u make it? do u have to warm it up, or is it supposed to be eaten room temp.?

  • its still good the day after. just wrap it in a napkin and put in the microwave for about 30 sec and that will moisten it back up

  • well, i wouldn't eat next day frybread, when you fry flour with milk and baking powder, the gluten in the starch turns rather tough when exposed to air and makes it somewhat hard to eat. So, I would just make fresh frybread. Usually frybread will stay tasty for a few hours, but the longer its exposed to air the hard it will become. Plus, fry bread is supposed to be eaten either hot or warm, never at room temp.

  • Just made some fry bread using your recipe. And even though it was my first time making it, it actually turned out really well. Thanks!

  • For some reason, when i added evrything and stirred the mix, it was too powdery.. And it would'nt turn to dough. Are you sure that you said the right amount of milk? Thanks for posting this recipe!

  • i love indian tacos

  • The oil isn't hot enough and did she call it a tortilla at 4:13?

  • ....That is true how everyone has different ways of making frybread...mine is a little different but I'm sure natives would agree that Blue Bird is the flour of choice!

    Your bread looks yummy!!!

  • hey err'1 i haven't had this type ov frybread but it looks pretty gud- i am part native n my mamma makes wut we call frybread- she mixes flour n water n puts it in a skillet like pancakes only it's much thicker- n we put butter on top n it tastes awesome

  • Thank you for posting these instructions. Now I'm not so scared to try it. The old ladies at the Pow Wows really make good fry bread.

  • Cool video.. very informative.. =)

    -Frisco the navajo

  • Man that looks good!

  • mine turn out really hard T_T

  • ya um ur were supposed to poke in the middle also that grease wasnt hot enough or the frybread well be to greasy! haha i crisco canola oil inside of the lard stuff hahai never seen sumone stretch frybread using a rolling pin gudstuff haha

  • you only poke a hole in it for luck and is mostly only done by fellow natives or dines

  • Actually, I am frying it in Crisco. That's my favorite solid vegetable shortning. It doesn't burn like a lot of other shortnings.

  • Thank you very well done. My Apache friend made this for me. I believe she used self rising flour. I think I have to try this now.

  • can i have a free sample?

  • omg im so hungry now

  • fry bread is like sex,when it's good it's damn good,when it's bad it's still pretty good

I tried to make it once for my family to try and well lets just say I started a fire and now my mom needs new cabinets above the stove. OUCH!! So I am banned from making frybread.
