I know. My dad and I like her in the greyhound scheme. Black is too basic for a big steamer like her, though my friend Johnny HATES UP and the greyhound scheme.
Thanks trainboy. I've found after doing my first train DVD (see preview of new SP 2472) that people hate music or love it. The 2472 DVD had sections of both. There's a segment where the engine has stopped on a curve with a heavy load. The wheels slip every time the engineer tries to start up. We happened to have a HD camera mounted right behind the drivers. It's spectacular watching those drivers slip. I wouldn't think of using music in that section of the video. Again, thanks Don

If I wanted to listen to music, I would have turned on my radio. What a shame that the historic sounds are ruined with this noise. Thankfully, they stopped with the looney tunes in time to hear whistles!
This is a long, long shot. All you would have heard was wind. There was no engine sound at all from that distance. This would be very boring to watch with wind sound for over a minute of the video.
@train9899 Hey wake up you can hear other engines on other videos but his one is awsome,Do you recognize the song as good classy music, or do you always shoot you dumb mouth off before engaging yourbrain.
I recognize this song and I am 53. How old are you. If you are a WW2 vet then thank you for you service to this couyntry and I apolgize for calling you an ________________?

When the engines blew their whistles, it looked like they were talking to each other.

You should add this video to the Rolling Thunder in the Canyon DVD as a bonus feature.

I miss the Greyhound paints cheme...she looks like she should be hauling a freight train

With this scheme, the 844 looks more like a passenger locomotive than she did in the Greyhound scheme. I still like the Greyhound scheme though.

either way she is a stunning beauty!

If she were grey, she wouldn't match 2472 and the 3, as they are black too.
I do want to see her in grey though.

Great video! Captures in three minutes the 45 minutes 844 was there. UP was very cooperative setting up several photo ops for us.
The period music fits the steam era and fills in where there would only have been wind blowing. The whistles on these locos sound great!

tuxedo junction is no "looney tunes." an appropriate choice to cover the wind sounds. nice.
