If only you good friends could have heard Alfred Brendel play this just before his death. We Professors were invited into his home theatre and he asked us for complete silence for 3 minutes. During this timespan our soul's pallette was purged of ennui and thought, after which he bessed us each with a gift that far exceeded the total delights we'd ever experienced in a lifetime of sincere living, loving and creation.

How I wish technicians could have recorded that hour: He knew his life was up.

Heavenly!!!!! This is a divine masterpiece and Mr. Nose' is a perfection beyond words. He is literally making love to the piano and that is the difference between perfection and a so-so performance.
